Poor station. Completely abandoned by southern railways. Not just the station but the entire Cuddalore city. First the naming of this station. Bad move to name this station after it's old name. Should have named it Cuddalore Town or simply Cuddalore. Second is SR not scheduling a stop for trains passing through. Most of the trains stopping are midnight trains. But the newly announced Antyodaya trains doesn't have a stop here. Bad move. These trains have huge buffer and halting times at some junctions. Yet they are not scheduled to stop here. Poor scheduling by SR.

One among the few stations that is located at the heart of the town. But still needs improvement in terms of infrastructure, cleanliness and more no of train facilities.

It is difficult to get down from the train in Platform 1. Govt should increase the height of the Platform. Amenities are also be improved.

Station with 2 platforms, shops are not available inside the station. Walkable distance from cuddalore bus stop. Easy to access.

But no dirct trains available from here to Mumbai, Gujarat, need to improve,

Cuddalore bus station is only walkable distance from here,
Also at outside there are hotels to stay, also market available

It is the major bus stop in the cuddalore city. The buses connects that cuddalore new town, cuddalore old town, manjakuppam, post office and other local area buses are available. State buses like, chidambaram, chennai, Pondicherry busses also available here. This place is heavy traffic, dusty and noisy place. But when compare to chennai bus stands this is good.

This is also another railway station of Cuddalore town. Other station is Cuddalore Port station. One of the old stations of historical background.

Thirupathiripuliyur railway station is one of the busiest railway station in Cuddalore........... big platform and neat infrastructure ........ Nowadays so clean and neat.............
