The property is beautiful and has an oldworld charm. However, getting to the hotel is a major challenge if you are at the Mall Road at night. The contact details of the hotel are not operational on most instances. Getting the food made may take up to an hour. Overall, we are having a miserable experience.

Quaint rooms, tranquil surroundings, tasty food and helpful staff. The cottage has a homely feel to it and the staff ensure that the services on offer are tailored to your expectations.
The mall road is about a kilometre away from the cottage. Cab services are available at Rs. 200 per trip. You may walk too if you're moderately athletic. Overall, a really pleasant experience staying at The Hive Cottage. Will stay there again when we visit Nainital.

Wonderful place to stay in Nainital. Somewhat removed from the Mall road, so it is very quiet and peaceful here. The rooms are good and comfortable. The service and food were also great. It is quite a hike to mall road, however it doesnt take too long. Overall a great experience

Wonderful place to stay - utterly charming. Good food, reasonably priced and away from the chaos of the city. I ended up extending my stay and plan to return soon.

I absolutely loved the place except the mattress and the pilows everything was 5 star Food,hospitality,view and rooms. Classy place with spacious ventilated rooms.

The location is 1 km away from Mall road which makes it a peaceful place. The view is awesome. The staff is polite, helpful and humble. The food was basic yet yummy...It was like a Home away from Home. The stay experience was excellent. Would highly recommend if u want a peaceful stay with homely food.

This place is more of a boutique hotel. The place looks very beautiful. The view from this hotel was mesmerizing. The food was good. We were not accompanied by other guests so we were the only guests maybe because of the season.The staff were polite. The front desk attendees were courteous and humble. I requested 1 day cancellation as I overrated Nainital, we could manage to cover most of the places in 1 day only. Hence my recommendation is only 2 days in Nainital.
