Everything is superb about this place. List of pros-
Location
Parking space
View from room
Interior
Service

Located close to mall road on a higher altitude though but hotel provides pick and drop service until there. Such an old building is preserved so well. Have a good garden in front, ample parking space. Food was homely but could be improved. Beautiful tall rose flowers in the back. Overall very happy with my stay would definitely recommend.

Food and rooms are good. But the hotel will be empty by 9:30 or so. After that you will be alone in the hotel. Worrest part is they don't even informed us in advance that no one will be there in the hotel after 9:30. We wanted to have some water at 9:40 and guess what, we didn't get it because no one was there to serve !!
They call it a 3 star hotel !! No it's not worth that.

I think this place deserves a star only for the ambiance.
The reach to this hotel is so steep it’s impossible to drive by self. There’s no parking reserved on the ground level to reach.

The place is so noisy with rooms scattered all along the main hall. The receptionist himself speaks so loudly that it can be heard in every room.

The days we spent here there was renovation going on. Ideally they shouldn’t take booking or provide rooms that are away from the hassle. But there was constant work going on irrespective of the hours.
Secondly if the place is booked for an event like wedding, shouldn’t it be made aware to those who’ve booked?? There was constant work going on for the wedding tents etc, no place to sit in the sun or in the garden . Moreover, the wedding organisers were having an open discussion in the main hall which could be heard in the rooms. Shouldn’t a small meeting area or a room be provided for such professional discussions?

No privacy
No peace
I wouldn’t ever stay in this property.

Food was very average. The breakfast buffet catered to only indian cuisine which was really sad.
Rooms were average, very colonial style but good only for pictures. No wiper in washrooms. One has to call housekeeping after every shower? Isn’t like this the basic etiquette, either provide a wiper or have an enclosed shower area.

Wifi was too bad. No electricity points in the main hall. One can only use the extension board and sit where the main entrance to the kitchen/renovation area was., so there was constant movement and noise.

I came for a vacation to relax but there was zero peace.

The only thing good about the property was a little history to the building and some open area which well couldn’t be enjoyed.

Very poor place... Located out of the way. Difficult drive through narrow roads to reach there.
They took our booking without informing us that it is booked for a wedding... Since it's a small hotel the music etc was right in the middle of rooms and very disturbing. They first alloted us a room with the view of the garbage disposal
The manager was absolutely not bothered and just said we will change the room we couldn't find the key earlier. Rest of the staff also had a terrible attitude. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Heritage looks come naturally to this hotel cum resort. The architecture has perfect mix of olden times wood laden feel with modern fancies. The view is also mesmerising from the rooms located in the front. We had a short 1 night stay at this hotel during off-season. Will surely want to go back here for a longer stay. The road to reach this hotel is very steep and is a good 100m workout routine

All good. Heritage property with good view. Only issue is that they don’t have good Wi-Fi. This is the basic like clean towel and bed these days. The hotel should work on Wi-Fi provision.

Writing this review sitting on the lawns of this property, with 2 nights more to go!
Was very apprehensive before check in, having read out some very disappointing reviews!
Let me clarify right at the beginning:
Seems, those negative reviews are over reactions! The property is old, and one has to be having a taste for such kind of property! The rooms are of decent size, decor is good, ambience pretty nice! The show stealer is the wonderful garden with the morning sun shining brilliantly over one’s head and the scenic Himalayas right in front of one!
The food, negatively reviewed in many reviews,is very Indianised, hot and tasty!
Service and staff attitude as again negatively commented,is just the opposite! Any demand by us was quickly complied with! The parking is ample and well managed! All equipments in the rooms, geyser, heater, lamps are in perfect working order! When demanded, even with a full hotel,a heater was changed immediately when asked for!
Please judge on your own when and if you visit this property!
