Initially we planned to stay 2 nights in a beach hut with a view on the beach. We liked the place so much that we added an extra 2 nights. Ciarans is everything you expect from a tropical beach location; located right at a picture perfect white sand bounty beach it is very well accessible, surrounded by many palm trees and other beach shacks and shops. There was not much reason to go to other shacks as the food was great and affordable. For dinner you could pick and choose the type of fish and way of preparation (Tandoori, grill, etc). There is a lounge area which we used for reading and some remote working. The huts are very well designed and well kept. Maybe they can add darker curtains as we needed our eye masks in order to get good sleep after 6 am. Also the hot water came from a solar powered boiler. As our stay was off-season, the sky was usually clouded hence hot water was hardly available. This we did not mind as hot water bucket was available on request.

We had booked Ciarans based on a recommendation and we can truly say it's the best place to stay on Palolem beach. Simple but beautiful beach huts and nice rooms, a restaurant with delicious food and live music (during main season) and above all - the best staff. Everyone is warm, helpful, funny and has a big smile on their faces. Best way to stay in Palolem. Thank you to the whole team again!

Great location. The restaurant, library/lounge, some huts are right on the beach. There's live singer in the evenings. Great staff.
Loved the place.
Just a caution - if possible, stick to cottages on the beach. The cottages have some eco-friendly jute like walls that do not stop sound at all. So if there's noise from neighboring property, you can't sleep if you plan to.
Also, they prefer payment in cash which is an irritant these days.

That apart, you will love the stay.

We stayed at a sea facing cottage for 3 nights with my family during October 2022. The property is so beautifully maintained with so many plants and coconut trees. The staff were very polite and will try their best to accommodate special requests. The restaurant serves lip smacking food. I will come back here again soon to enjoy their hospitality.

Located right on the Palolem Beach. Beautiful property. Thought it's right on the beach, property is full of greenery. They have multiple cottages attached to 2 Beach side shacks. Their service was great. Felt like rooms are bit old , inside roof and walls are made with coir. Felt fungi smelling in the rooms initially. Looks like it was raining 2 days before we checked in and probably fungi smells were due to it

Regarding their cafe - it's right on beach woth excellent view. They have live music every day evening. Each day it's new singers. Food is nice and is priced reasonably.

I went there to have lunch with a friend who was staying at the property. I was so impressed with the restaurant, that I went back 4 more times for meals and drinks during my vacation.

They perhaps have the best kitchen in the area and the fare they serve is of high quality, authenticity, taste and quantity. The seafood catch is very fresh and they are happy to curate the cooking style in their own way to satisfy a global palate.

The bar mixes their cocktails well. I was happy to be a bit unconventional and took the advise of their smartest waiter, Sunil, to order for a local spicy, lemony and fizzy cocktail made of Urrak (country liquor made from coconuts/ cashew fruit). Oh my, if you like to spice up your time at Palolem...just order this one to kick start your evenings. Believe me, it worked better than G&T. ☆spice alert☆

The restaurant has a great chilled out vibe...you can spend hours here and still expect that the day could be longer or the night a bit younger.

We had a wonderful stay at Ciarans so that we extended it for a few more days;)
Everything was perfect: both restaurants where we ate 3 times per day, the spacious accommodation in the garden hut, the Ayurvedic massage, the atmosphere, the environment and most important, the kindness of the staff.
This is a little paradise in south Goa that we will never forget.
This choice is the best one we have done in Goa.
We truly recommend to stay at Ciarans as long as you can, you’ll be delighted !

It was an absolute delight staying at Ciarans for 3 nights. We had visited with family and booked the sea facing cottages. We loved every bit of our time spent here . The hospitality was great. The staff was very cooperative . Would definitely revisit.
Would highly recommend this property whenever visiting South Goa.
