Akbar fort allahabad or Prayagraj was built on 1583 by stone inscription but still this is on a good condition. It is situated on the bank of river Yamuna or sangam and the scenery and everything makes perfect for this fort . Their is an Indian Flag on top of this fort that enhances the beauty of this fort. I really loved it.

Very good and serene place. Marvel to look forward wh n you come here. On banks of river Yamuna, this 500 year old fort is something one needs to reckon history with.

Looks fresh and Amazing, Indian Flag on this Monument seems Patriotic.
Govt don't allow citizens to visit inside the building so u can only look from Road and to see night views You can go to Nani Bridge.

The walls still stand strong even though it was built 500 years ago. The inner area is given to army unit.

Most of the walls are still stong, however various places we can see cracks and not much maintenance is being done.

The temple inside the firt is the centre of attraction.

No fees was taken. However no photos allowed near army area.

Beautiful place with divine temples and the view of ths exquisite Sangham of the three rivers, namely, Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Although going inside the fort is prohibited but it looks stunning from the outside with all red bricks.
It is basically a holy place for the hindus to visit temples and do Snan in the Sangham.
One must visit the place with hisnfamily or friends and enjoy the holiness of this place.

This is a big, old fort right on the banks of Yamuna and Ganga Sangam. Entry is only for small portion where several temples exists. A very old large Peepal/Banyan tree was the main attraction inside the fort. You can still walk a little bit along the main wall inside the fort. It is very sad to see the negligence of authorities. You would see trees growing in the walls etc. This could be really kept nice and can become a good tourist place. There is something about Allahabad or UP ingeneral that really bugs me. They absolutely have no appreciation for history or so many nice things around. If they really focus, they can turn things around and make it a really good tourist destination.

Built by Mughal Ruler Akbar in 1583, it stands magnificently even after more than 430 years. Most part of this fort is under Army's control, yet you can see its magnificent windows, so high. You can well imagine and feel its history
