Mamandur Pallava Cave Temple 2

Caves are empty, nothing much to talk about it but on top of the hill there are two temples which more than 500 years old,they are good.UST see place.

Very good place for a weekend sight seeing and a quick trek as you have shive temple at the top and you can have a beautiful landscape view onn one side of water (huge mamandur lake) other side land.

All the 3 caves are situated inside same premised. 1st n second cave nothing is there. Then before 3 Rd cave there is Bhairava and Shiva temple at small hill. You need to cross this for the 3rd cave which is really worth.

Mamandur has its name etched in history with the 7th century rock cut temple.
Has a total of 4 separate rockcuts but by Pallava 👑 Mahendravarman.It is part of the archeological survey of India.Fensed and the place is not in ruins as of now .

Such a wonderful place to visit. It has rich history behind the monument. Imaging how people might have visited this place in 7th century or before gives goosebumps.

Best place, this place has to get popular more than mahabalipuram coz it has value in it.
Can explore the whole 4 cave by walk and drive.
Try to explore the whole place by walk you will feel the beauty and calmness.

Kindly don't throw plastic or any other waste on such a beautiful historical places, we have responsibility to keep this places neat and clean, All can't be maintained by government.

Good place back of the caves with light off-roading you can reach to good lake with great view

Nice place for peace and pleasant mind,worth for going there and the pallava cave temples & sculptors are amazing and the climate is also very nice,we saw lingam shaped cloud today,we got blessings from shiva🕉 and its just 6 kms from kanchipuram border
