Madurai Junction

Madurai is one of the old railway station in south Tamilnadu. It connects to places. Station is clean and neat. Wheel chair or electric vehicles are available for handicap, pregnant women, and senior citizens at free of cost.

If we compare with other railway station, madurai railway station is not so much clean. Especially they paste a posture on a office wall. I don't like this type of posture culture. I'm sitting in coach 2 but I could not see any one of name board on the platform.

Madurai junction is good. Big one. In Tamilnadu Madurai junction is the famous one. Food items are costly. Service is not so good. From Madurai we have trains for all the locations. From Madurai to Trichy, Madurai to Chennai, Madurai to north India all route trains are available. The waiting room is good. AC waiting rooms are also fine and basic Facilities. Madurai means thoonga nagaram, No sleep at all. 24 hours busy.

One of the main railway station in south Tamil Nadu. 5 more platforms are there but no escalator facility. Less number of chairs in the waiting room and also mobile charging ports. Madurai Meenakshi temple is near to the railway station. Entrance look attractive.

It's a busy and large railway station. It has around 8 platforms. There are many shops and food court in this station.

Coach position in platform is properly displayed. So it is easy to board train here.

The bus stop is just opposite to this junction. There are so many restaurants near to this place.

Madurai junction railway station is well maintained. They have AC lounge waiting rooms in platform 1. They offer services like bath and change for rs.100/person, recliner room , VIP room n etc.

Good railway station. Good facilities and luxurious facilities are available. Good and clean railway station. There is bus stand near it. Lot of people and crowded. So many people lying in front of the railway station. Lot of train available . Lift and escalor are also available.

The station is neat and clean having all basic amenities.On platform no 1, there is a lift also and one AC waiting lounge which charges Rs 20/- per hour.Out side the station, there are some good vegetarian hotels.
