Pohlatang Falls

This place is awesome for trekking adventure, picnic, if you want to get here u have to trek 1 and half hour or you may drive by gypsy or thar or any car with special gear.

This is an upcoming tourist spot close to Lumchrymit village in East Jaintia Hills. Getting here is a breeze - with Google Maps to guide you. But, the road is unpaved and dusty. I am left wondering what would happen during the monsoons - it's going to be a mud fest. Though road signs are present, it is best to stop and ask for directions. Once you reach the spot, there's ample parking. Now, just follow the cemented paths and they will lead you to the various attractions there. There's a waterfall upstream before this mesmerising blue pool called Thwai Thlen, don't forget to lookout for this. Other than that there's a specially designed viewpoint for the main waterfall that is Latang. Do spend some time to trek through the forest and head downstream, it's another beauty. Though recently accessible by light vehicles to the general public, it is already strewn with plastic waste and broken liquor bottles. In spite of the fact that there are designated garbage bins. Please enjoy this place responsiblely and remember to take your trash with you. Some of the photographs posted by me may not depict the mentioned Latang waterfall but of the approach road and the surrounding area.

This is good place for picnic,if you have no car with special geal so this place is good for trekking adventure

beautiful waterfalls and scenery...very far away from highway,roads are not good and its under construction....ideal to visit after 3/4 months later.
