Pozhikara is the Western border town of the Paravur municipality in the Kollam district of Kerala state. Paravur was a trade hub for foreign countries . Pozhikara is about 14 km from Kollam City through Kollam-Paravur coastal road. It is in the Arabian Sea coast. The clear water and the golden sand together has made the Pozhikkara Beach in Kerala a beach lovers paradise

A vibrant and ambient place to be at peace... A proper place to visit when you want to stay alone leaving behind all your tensions and stressed life.... Couples find the place very interesting to visit. A beautiful sunset of which pictures has been uploaded. Eco tourist spot having bathroom and drinking water facilities as wel. Better view than varkala . The main halt for riders riding through coastal road. The main attraction is the beautiful ride in between backwater and sea . You can do fishing also. Another beach is kappil Beach just 2.5 kilometers far from here . There you can do kayaking , ride water bike , sea rafting etc... Enough car parking space is available. Kappil Beach is the border of kollam and trivandrum district .
Not much of a crowded place. Come at evenings to experience the beach to its fullest.
Calm.and clean beach , great place to get away from the hush and unwind .. sunsets are beautiful, no eateries or shacks around , hence the place is still kept pretty untouched.
