Malampuzha Dam

Just a spot to spend the evening. Lot of parking space available at 15rs. Ticket costs 30 for adults and 10 for kids. Has a large kids play area. Rope way wasn’t running when I went now. I have been to it as a kid and being open its scary and interesting.

There is a suspension bridge and boating to enjoy. Boating closes at 6PM and costs about 450 for motor boat.

Like the park, the toilet isn’t maintained either. They take 5rs which hope they will ise to clean the toilet at least once in a while.

Malampuzha dam is very nice and lovely to watch the scenery from the top of the dam. The garden is maintained so well not only in the cleanliness manner but also in gardening works. Children play are is also very nice. Good place to spend time with families.

One of the must visit places in Palakkad. Road is very good, just follow the map to reach here. There is ample parking space and the charges are minimal. The queue at entrance will be small.

This is not the entry to ropeway and it can be accessed from outside only. Once you exit from the dam premise you will have to ticket again to enter. I tried ropeway before entering dam.

There is ample space in the garden. Snacks can be bought inside the premise. Restrooms are available at the entrance. This is a crowded area. Its defined worth visiting. It will be very hot during summer and carrying an umbrella will be good.

3. Morning time too much hot.
4. Rope car ride is nice.
5. This place is only good for kids because kid's park is available not for adults not that much good.
6. Adult entry fees is 25 rs.
7. Shops inside dam is not good and also ice-creams is wost.

Felt happy with the experience. It has worth of Rs.30
A very pleasant place to enjoy the day with family and friends. And one more as usual thing you can see most of the lovebirds flying around the park😜😁 .

Huge property, amazing views and good place to hangout with family or friends.
Most of the things were not operational (Sound and Light show, Boating etc). It Could be because I visited on a weekday.

I would recommend spending some time on the top of the dam soaking in the wind and the aura of this place.

The view from the dam is too good. But even the name of the dam was half missing on the dam. Authorities should maintain it properly. Thousands of visitors are coming there and clicking pictures with half the name missing from the dam.

Good place to spend time and chill. Choose to visit on a good climate day as the place is open to sky visiting during the full sunny day might be hard. So many nature scenes and good place to view the dam so close, even you can have closer look of the dam gates and chains.
