The service was pathetic, we had to keep asking even for water. There were also long delays for just talking the order and evn more for delivering it.
Worst was to having deal with mosquitoes. Yes, they would hover over your head inside the place. They should give a mosquito killing electric bat along with the plates so that we can sit and eat peacefully.
Taste was not great either, we tried both south Indian but it was only average so thought maybe they are better at North Indian food and ordered pav bhaji . But when tried that it was worse. The pav was soaked in oil and the bhaji also had no taste and lots of oil.
Only the rawa dosa was something that felt acceptable.
Thankfully the pricing was decent. Stick to dosas and you will be a happy customer is what I understood.

We went there for Launch and i can say their service was good with Heritage vibes and interior design . When we went it was almost empty . We ordered South Indian Thali and it was good in taste . It comes with Chapati, papad, curd, sweet pickle , rice bowl, Sambar , rasam and other 3 vegetables . Each of them was good in taste. Also they gave water glass for drinking water . They have Hand wash facility and behavior of the stuffs were good . But i felt somehow it could be better in taste . I also liked the Mission street outlet than this spot one . Though it was good not bad . You can try . Additionally you can get various south Indian dishes , breakfast and tea .

It is ok. The menu is quite limited. If you visit this place then please be open to listening to a NO to almost everything on the menu.
Ambience wise, it is good, clean. It is a good respite from the humid weather of Pondy.

There are no covid protocols in place. No sanitizers. No temperature checks. Staff were seen with face masks on.

Compare to Mission street branch, this is worst. I ordered paneer dosa, its not cooked well. Service is bad. They can't maintain the crowd. Taste is also moderate.

Our experience at Surguru restaurant was great! We stopped there for lunch and thankfully had space for car parking at the entrance. We got the business lunch, North Indian lunch and a chapati set. The quantity was huge and the taste was amazing! The North Indian lunch, in particular, was very tasty. The ambience is quaint and the service is good too. Would definitely recommend visiting.

Absolutely MUST if you're visiting Pondicherry! The food was delicious, specially the Masala Dossa (The best one we've had in India) and the paneer 65 was amazing. The stuff was nice and kind and the restaurant is clean 👌

When we were heading towards some place for lunch, this shop took our sight. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. They have multiple cusines of India and thali as well. The place is beautifully designed with attractive interiors and this gives a positive vibe.

The taste of the food was good and sufficient. The rates are quite nominal and the service was good. It was crowded as it was peak lunch time but we could get a seat. The food served was hygienic and the place was completely neat and clean. The restrooms were also maintained neat.

Me and my friend visited the restaurant for breakfast. The place had a waiting queue and as we were given the seats we realized that the waiting queue is there just because of poor management. We were assigned a table for 4 when a table for 2 got vacant at the same time (there is no reservation policy). The food was average and to be honest I have had better Sambar in North Indian restaurants although the chutney was quite good and was made of fresh ingredients. I asked the waiter if they had filter coffee because it was not there on the menu he said yes and brought a cappuccino. While we were still eating (probably halfway through) we were given the bill (without asking for it).
