It is a Hotel by MP tourism department. It has also been outsourced by government to a private contractor. The staff is less than required numbers. Rooms are not cleaned properly. Food quality is bad. The only good part is that the staff is courteous. This not a recommended place to stay from my side. Also the rates are equivalent or more than those of best hotels in Ujjain.

One of the rudest staff you will ever meet in India! I've stayed in 5 MPTs and this one is not like an MPT at all! Horrible behaviour, very rude employees - even after paying for an additional third person well in advance, they question you when you ask for a teacup or tea sachets for the third person. They do not provide you all the services you pay for. The staff behaves as if it's a huge problem for them that you are staying there. No valet to help with luggage too. The extra mattress they brought was completely torn, the foam was so bad that it was powdered and spilling out. On asking to replace, they said all are like this, later they brought another one. I don't think I would want to stay in any MPT after my experience here and I would highly recommend not booking this hotel at all. Go for other alternatives in Ujjain.

Very nice, cooperative staff. Excellent location. Good ambiance and food. Near to the railway station and situated in an happening area.

One of the best MPT Hotels I stayed in MP. While the best part is the rooms, there are drawbacks. The reception is not friendly at all. In fact, the guys told me to call between 12-6 as he was busy at 7! Strange!! They will always give the worst rooms for the early arrivals, the back side no view room, so stay aware when booking

Front office staff was polite and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and beds are comfortable. Room tariff is worth value for money.

Being the MP Govt. Property, the officials are not worried about their normal duties too. Instead of MPT Ujjayini, the staff of MPT Shipra is comparatively sincere towards their job

We took a breakfast package, very much satisfied. They have limited options, but those argue quality ones. Must stay here if you are in Ujjain.
