GETAWAY BEACH RESORT KOVALAM

I am sorry to say that it was a very bad experience never will I plan to stay again and will never recommend any one to go to this hotel
1. After long travel even after giving ID they insisted me to fill all the forms, never I did such things in any hotel
2, location of rooms without any lifts
3. Bathroom door not working and hanging type and was broken 😠
4. No hot water in rooms
5. Power off 4 times since morning 4.23 am - disaster for kids sleeping in a room .
6. No buffet breakfast , with that huge charges food was not excellent.
7. Over all car parking , reception is third graded , not worth what was paid.
8. Lighting system was the worst and dark everywhere, worst maintenance I have seen after paying so much huge amount

I quit enjoyed my stay overall , the service was excellent. The staff are well trained .The rooms are kept clean and tidy.Food was excellent::This kind of place you go to spend time with yourself and your loved ones in a beautiful and peaceful setting.overall experience was excellent:::

We had a wonderful stay at getaway beach resort. The rooms were big and had a nice view to the arabian sea. The gazeebo near the restaurant was really a great dining experience. We could sight some peacock near the restaurant during evening hours.

Most pathetic hotel and it is under maintenance as you can see in the pictures.

Pathetic parking we have to wait for another car to come out to take out our car.

We booked a sea view room at 9 k and it is full of dust and there is noise due to some work going on at the pool.

The pool is closed and feels like an under construction property.

We wasted our money.

Also there is no private beach access. Room feels like sea view but sea is far and only coconut trees are visible. Pls don’t book this place.

Pathetic Hotel and had Worst Service – Not even a Welcome Drink for a Suit Category Room. 1)I booked a Suit Room in this hotel and below is my worst experience at this hotel: a.When I checked in, the room was not prepared by the Hotel Staff. It was smelling bad. I asked the hotel staff to check and he also confirmed that it was smelling back. Then they sprayed the room freshener and went away. b.So they offered to change the room to which I agreed. In the new room, the AC was not working in the bedroom. The staff asked us to wait for the room to get cooled and we waited for 45 mins and it wasn't cooling. c.So now they again asked us to change to a new room. Please note, this is the 3rd room after we checked in. By this time, almost 2.5 hours had been wasted. During this time also, none of the managers had contacted me. Only the staff was asking us to change from one room to another. Also, we were super tired after a long journey, but that was of the least concern for the hotel staff. They just wanted us to get into the room. d.Only after I raised a ticket, did one of the managers, called about the issue with the room. By this time, we had already lost 3.5 hours (this time in the 3rd room). 2)Issues about the 3rd Room (They say it’s a Suit Category Room) - This was also shown to – one of the managers who came to meet mea.The room was just big with below-standard amenities. Will share in more details belowb.Bathroom: i.No shaving mirror providedii.There was no holder provided for the soap or shampoo. We had to keep it on the floor during the bathiii.The toiletries provided were again of below standard (which in normal hotels, you would get even in Delux rooms) iv.No Bath robes (which you normally get in a Suit Category room)v.No Iron or Iron Board in the room. c.Bedroom: The phone was an age-old Beetel phone, with no direction about a number of reception or restaurant. I was given a small torn printout of half the hands where I can call.d.The Electrical fittings were not working and I had to charge my phone hanging on one of the electrical points (below which, there was no support)e.For the 2 rooms, there was only a single AC remote. I definitely need a refund from this hotel.

Highly unprofessional. We checked in at 9 pm and pre-informed to keep the dinner ready(prebooked). But the chef left before providing us dinner. Parents had to wait till 12 midnight for food. Rooms provided to us were stinking badly. AC was making noise, there were spider webs in the room, there were no bathroom supplies, no hot water, telephone was not working. Nobody was bothered, as we had made 100% pymt in advance. We had filed a case against them in national consumer forum. Worst experience ever in our lifetime travel experience.

Excellent Hospitality and price-worth services and felt like we are back to our home.
Super excited to go next vacation with my whole family.

Very Big bathroom. Bad food. 200m from beach. Good room. Food very very bad. Upset stomach after eating.
