Oyster Opera

This a nice and peaceful location with backwater view. We had booked two rooms. The rooms are spacious. However, they took extra charge for A/c which actually didn't work properly in one of the rooms. They don't provide cradle or high chairs for babies. There was a thorny plant in our washroom (Shrimp cottage) which was kept right below the shower. Basically, we could not use the shower. We got muddy water from the pipe. There was no proper holder for the faucet gun in the toilet. That was super annoying.

The lunch was not impressive, but the dinner with barbecue and the next day's breakfast were delicious and up to the mark. This is a highly overrated place. The activities they mention are not worth for the money we pay. Boating experience was absurd. It was rusty and old.

We also felt that backwater shores should have been maintained more neatly by removing the plastic waste.

The staff behavior was nice. They should not have taken the whole amount in advance from us.

They were kind enough to keep safely some materials we had forgotten there, so we could go back and collect it.

We do not wish to recommend this place to anyone especially because of its over rating.

Oyster Opera provides a good experience of a stay near the backwaters. I personally loved the ambience of the place, the wonderful food and the boat rides they arranged on the backwaters. They take you via boat to a small patch in the middle of the backwaters where you can comfortably walk on the sand under the water without sinking as the water is shallow at that place at that point of time.

The food is another highlight. You can get good sea food here. Also they will arrange toddy for you if you make a request for it.

They have good service also. The people who run the place and the staff are pleasant and are there to cater to all our needs.

The highlight of our stay should have the stay in the floating cabin . This cabin was situated on an artificial pond inside the resort. But frankly it was a little claustrophobic and there were issues with the washroom taps. I personally felt much happier in the cabins situated on land. Some of the premises seemed a little run down and unkempt which was another drawback.

Offers an good activity oriented stay along the side of Tejaswini river . They provide facilities for volleyball, basketball,Shuttle badminton, Table tennis, Cricket,Kayaking, Rain dance, Back water swimming, boat ride for sight seeing etc. The food they offered is excellent but we should have a complete empty stomach to accommodate such huge quantity, quality food. Out of this pros there is one thing I don't like there , The lack of proper maintenance. They can make this property with such landscape advantage much more better to make it more attractive. If you are a big group this resort will be an ideal option . They also provide day packages which is more economical.

The perfect nature packed resort. Had been here for a single day but the moments I spent were worth. The stay houses are spacious enough and are surrounded by water. Its also kids friendly. There's also a place where you can play in the water, if you can ask the owner they'll take you on a boat and let you play in the middle of the water. The fish food you get here is amazing.
There's also swimming pool available here but accessible only to those who choose the option to stay for a night. Amazing experience.

A good place for corporate team outing and family outing.
The location was good, it is located in a remote place where one can have the peace of mind.
The staff members were really doing a great service.
The food was good, comparatively the veg menu was not so great, no starters in the menu. I would recommend the opera team to include at least one starter in the veg menu.

Overall it was a great experience.

They have boat rides, back water swim, volleyball court, swimming pool, boat rafting, indoor games, swings and kids play area etc

Rooms are good but water supply was slow.
Poor Maintenance and less staffs.

Suggestion to the owners : plant more trees, flower plants and make it more green. Maintain the cleanliness throughout and keep a staff all time near boats.
And make sure buffet dinner has enough quantity to be called unlimited.

We colleagues went in a group of 9, all the way from mangalore.
In short we loved this stay, took with us lots of memories and it was worth it.
Checked in to the property around 10.00am and Checked out 5.30 Pm evening on the same day.
We were welcomed with the great grape juice.The staff are very friendly explained everything well and make things much better.
Later we got into the provided to us, it was really neat and beautiful.
After freshening up we went to play a few outdoor games and started kayaking .
The kayak boats are not maintained well, were rusted and our body started itching .
After this they took us to backwaters in a 30mins boat ride we enjoyed swimming here for almost 45 mins and came back to the stay.
Were excited for the rain dance on the way back, it was just a name sake rain dance setup, yet if you have a good gang you enjoy it too as we did.
Then we had a Kerala Style Sadya Lunch with variety of items. The food was good and not to complain.
Then we were back to our games and enjoyed it.
With complimentary tea and snacks in the evening we wrapped up.
