This property can be maintained well it's not organized. The rooms are not clean the bed sheets were dirty no proper toiletries provided. No doubt the location is serene no outsiders has access to beach!! We stayed for 2 nights first day we reached early morning had informed earlier on the breakfast part hoping it would be ready but had to wait for 2 hours which was disappointing they served mango shake which had not 1 but 3 hair strands the service boy nor the host apologized for the same. Service is very bad need to ask 10times that's when you get a response. Food was the ONLY thing which was good authentic Kerala cuisine but need to mend the taste accordingly which they will prepare. Portion wise they give you more but they don't consider what the guest need for lunch/dinner. We had told the menu for dinner on the last day but they had already prepared everything in advance with varieties which was not required. We felt bad wasting so much of food Language is a barrier they don't understand anything apart from Malayalam and little bit of English. We asked the host if Toddy can be arranged but no proper response. Overall not worth paying instead can look for other properties close by.

The place is a perfect getaway kinds. Has a beautiful beach with very less ppl around.. I loved the place and if you wanna spend some quality time with your friends, family, kids then it’s perfectly set.. food is a bliss here with different kinds of fish included.

Beauty and simplicity - Defines this place. A serene beach and a gorgeous stay in the midst. I probably have been there about 15times and this place never grows old. Ranjith is a great host and supported by his staff who are always courteous. Food is the best kept secret with exotic sea food varities made with local flavour. In summary, a place to go to relax with the simplicity of staying in a kerala home.

The entire stay and experience is totally different.The drive to thottada beach is adventurous .Staff and ranjith sir was so friendly,felt home away from home.Really food is awesome 👍 especially i loved mussels 😍.Must visit place for creating more beautiful memories and experience.

It is difficult to rate this place as somethings are great and others let it down badly. We made a last minute booking for a Monday hoping it would be quiet. We followed the sign posts which suddenly stopped and only then realised there was no access by car. We called and Ranjith promptly send someone called Prashad to meet us. There is a dedicated parking area but this was not marked. It is approximately a ten minute easy slow walk to the property. We arrived much earlier than anticipated so were not surprised to find our room wasn't ready. The property was fully booked the previous night and those (very noisy and inconsiderate) guests were still there having breakfast. It was extremely hot so we sat in the shade as walking on the beach wasn't comfortable. The property is very close to the beach but the view is partially obscured by a dilapidated house. The area surrounding the property is not particularly picturesque but the proximity to the beach is great. Eventually we got into our room around 1.30pm. We were given a traditional room which was large, clean and simply furnished. The bathroom was large with a small but adequate water heater. The shower would have been great if the shower head had been cleaned so water flowed through all the holes. The basin tap was not secured to the basin and stayed twisted to the side so washing hands was awkward. Simple fixes which would have made a big difference to our overall experience. Beds were comfortable. It would have been helpful to have a bedside table on both sides not just one one. There was plenty of space to enable this to be done. We were pleasantly surprised to find international sockets both in the bedroom and on the sit out area. Outside the room was a table where tea/dinner was served. Unfortunately there were a lot houseflies which were buzzing on and around it which we soon realised was due to the table cloth being dirty. It had not been changed after the previous guests left and had remnants of food on it. Once we removed the tablecloth the flies pretty much disappeared. Dinner was great. We had an amazing starter of mussels which were prepared by Daniel, a French gentleman and long term guest. This was followed by fish in banana leaf, salad, veg curry, dhal and Chapattis. All the food was fresh and delicious. There seem to be only two members of staff Prashad and Radhika both of whom pleasant and helpful. Prashad pretty much did everything for us such as bringing our luggage, serving food and drinks, and even cooked our breakfast the following morning. I should mention that we got dinner and breakfast at the time requested even though I believe this was earlier than they would normally serve it.
All in all the location, food and staff are great but this property could be so much better with a little more thought and care. That said, the true test is whether we would stay again and we would.

An amazing little place. We were a group of 8 including a kid and aged members, and we loved it! The beach in front is very private. The setting is very raw and unassuming. It will wash away all you city blues. 🙂 Ranjith and his staff took care of all our needs. And food is the highlight of this place. Authentic Kerala cuisine is prepared with all locally sourced ingredients. I liked how they take your constant feedback and adjust the meals as per your liking.

This accommodation was really dreamlike. I have rarely met such a nice and dedicated host. Ranjith and his team made us feel from the first moment as if we were regular guests for years. The food was excellent. Nothing was lacking and even extra culinary requests were always catered for. The other guests at the resort were also extremely nice. We were sorry to leave but would come back anytime. if we were to be in Kerala.

The location is bit far from main road but it was worth it. The beach was very near to the homestay and it was clean. Me and my family enjoyed it a lot. Got a chance to stay in the wooden house. Rooms were spacious and clean and airy. The owner Ranjit was very helpful and guided us at all possible occasions. The staff was very courteous. Food was quite amazing in terms quality, quantity and taste, and had a lot of varieties.
