Luxury in the lap of nature, very nice rooms, well maintained. The restaurant here is the best in Chidiyatapu. Orders do need to be placed in advance as it is a small kitchen and the meals are planned. Small eats and sandwiches are easily available.

This is coming months later but had to be said. This is one of the best properties I’ve lived in because of its serenity and intimacy. Once you walk in, you’re feel like part of a little family retreat away from the cacophony and hustle of Port Blair. Big Tree Resort embodies the calmness of chidiya tapu in its every fibre. Dia and Rajendra are amazing hosts and Mitali, you’ve done a fab job with the place! If you’re lucky to run into her, she’ll take you around and make you feel right at home. The rooms and bathrooms are both classy and minimal with a sharp focus on the available natural resource. The big tree hut is a pan favorite! It won’t be a complete review without the food which alone I’d come back for. Locally sourced, hearty portions, and served with so much love and attention to detail. After a day of diving, it’s an absolute treat to come back to the meals at Big Tree. Thank you so much for an incredible four days, will return for more!

This very much a quiet 'boutique style' resort. the area is picturesque with some of the best sunsets in Port Blair. The resort is quiet a peaceful with an air of calmness, rooms are clean, modern & comfortable. My favourite thing is the restaurant and the freshness of the food. The staff are accommodating and add to the charm of the resort. For those looking for peaceful, relaxing and stress free stay this is the place for you

The resort is very nice, clean and close to the beach and dive center. Diya the owner was amazing, she was so accommodating and took care of everything. We had an amazing and relaxing stay. Also we love Momo (the dog).

Would highly recommend staying here if you are a nature lover. The hotel is located in the middle of a great forest, and in the morning the birding here is amazing. They grow all their vegetables and they definitely have the best vegetarian food in Port Blair. The architecture of the rooms is great and the cleanliness is unmatched. Chidiyatapu is a great location to stay at due to the easy access to the munda pahad trek which has stunning views and probably the best sunset I have ever witnessed. Also a great option if you're considering diving with lacadives. The staff is also great and extremely helpful.

Hands down the best place to stay in Chidiyatapu. Stayed their for longer than a week in March 2021. A beautiful property with really cozy and homely rooms, and the staff is extremely pleasant. They really take care of you!
