From this bus stop you can able to go Periyar, Thirumangalam, Madurai Railway Junction, Arappalayam, Mattuthavani (Madurai Central Bus stand), Madurai Court. Simmakal bus stop is a busy one and is located in a congested road and is at the heart of the city. People residing in the north of Vaigai get down at this stop for visiting the Meenakshi Amman temple and for shopping. The stop on the way to Periyar bus stand is on the north marret street and in the opposite direction, the stop is on North veli Veethi. To navigate through these arterial routes is a nightmare for the motorists.

Most traffic area in the madurai city, lots of share auto and tri cycles are the only reason for this traffic problem. Also most of the two wheelers parked in the platform, no walkway for trespassing. And small retailers, fruit shops accupied the same platform. Very difficult to come forward the city into smart city.
