A fine and well maintained Museum in Ooty. The entry for non-Indian adults is Rs 100, for Indian adults is Rs 15, for children is Rs 5 and is free for students. The museum itself is very small, which you can finish seeing in 30 mins. But it's absolutely entertaining to spend some time. You can see embalmed animals, birds, coin collections, details about various tribes, collection of some old tools. Overall, this is one of the finest museum I've ever visited!

It is a must place to visit in your itinerary in Ooty.it has many things to see
Especially the tribal communities of Ooty with their culture and habits.
And also they have mentioned about the Ooty history there.
Especially John Sullivan Court
District collector of Coimbatore attached Nilgiris.
The reception staff are very rude .
Ticket charges are showing you 5 Rs per adult but still insisting you to pay for mobile camera 20rs .
Where as it is not mentioned in the Board.

It's a beautiful stone house converted into a nice museum which is well maintained. They have displayed all about the various tribes, animals and plants which belongs to this region.
Also there is a lot to see based on Indian history and a few fossil based showcase.

The entry fee is: 5₹ and for camera is an additional 20₹

If you send and read through every display it could take you 60-90mins.

Very nice place for museum enthusiasts. It is very less crowded and you can explore the museum peacefully. Entire fee is very less. Very neat and well maintained and staff is very calm. There are no washrooms. Good to gain knowledge on ancient tribes and tools used by them. You can see the pictures below.

A well curated museum located up on a silent hill. A must visit with few people if you're around. Entry fee is Rs 5 for adults, Rs 20 for photography and free for school visits. The curators have done a good job. The preserved birds and mammals were amusing to observe.

Well maintained museum following all COVID protocols.

Entry fee is Rs. 10 (cash payment is not acceptable, only card payment)

Ancient architecture of Stone house is one of the attraction.

This small museum houses different species of stuffed animals & birds , old scripts and wood carvings. Also will get information about Nilgiri tribal life.
