Zambala Retreat and Spa Darjeeling by Anant Hotels

Very small rooms and rooms without fans which is strange considering the warm weather in Darjeeling at this time of the year (Oct). No food available after 8:30 PM in the hotel restaurant. Most of the items listed in the hotel menu are not unavailable. Also, the rooms don't have a view and we were initially provided a room in the basement which was claustrophobic. The hotel is grossly understaffed as well. The Wi-Fi is not working properly in the rooms. Overall not at all recommended from my end considering the tariff they charge.

Very comfortable room , restaurant is also good. We have tried kadai paneer this was finger licking good. Very good staff behaviour specially Mr om swastika, ashik and all.
I recommend this hotel, location is also good it's nearby toy train junction. You can see moving toy train from room.

Booked for 2 nights for a couple from 2nd Dec to 4th.

I was not sure about this hotel before i reached since there are a lot of negative reviews about the hotel staff not being friendly and supportive.

But let me tell you my experience: We had an amazing time in this hotel.
Reception : Very helpful
Room Service : Responded within 10 mins
Restaurant : Responded within 10 mins

The best part about this hotel is the restaurant and its staff. They serve amazing food. Probably the only place i would eat near the hotel. Since all other places nearby were not so hygienic.

Dishes we ordered :
Crispy chicken : The best
Chicken Thukpa : Amazing
Barbeque chicken : very good
Chicken noodle : Very good
Tea : Amazing

I would also like to call out "Mr. Sushant Sundas" who is part of the restaurant staff provided an exceptional service.

Stayed for 2 nights... Room was spacious and cleaned, polite staff, good room service, delicious food in their own restaurant), best location (1 mn walking distance from Darjeeling railway station) and aprx 1 km from famous mall road. Over all great experience.

Awesome property, excellent room, most important part restaurant team very excellent. Aslo food were very good prepared.. We continuely have at restaurat and i really love it and thanks to Specialy Miss swatika, Mr ashik, Mr munna so i recommended this property for stay

We did not go for the hotels we went for their resturant and it was good it had good food a very friendly and humble waiters and managers loved them! They had very good soups. It was a good looking decent resturant. The pros of this resturant is that it is situated just near the Darjeeling station.

One of the best hotel I have visited in Darjeeling. The pros is that the hotel is situated just near the market area and the railway station is near too. Food were tasty and awesome. Thanks to the restaurant manager Mr. Om and his team for the lovely and top class service. Really appreciated.

Rooms were good with a nice view of kanchenjunga and the Darjeeling railway station. The service could be improved. The location is 800m away from the mall. It's a bit far for elders but okay for others if you are willing to walk.
