Rio Grand Hotel, Nainital

budget hotel. view is very good from only 1 or 2 balcony rooms. rest is average. service is very slow. they charge extra for heater which is very high if you are staying 2-3 days (you can buy new heater in that amount). food was average. better have no expectation. looks better in photos but actual is different. room size is very small. bathroom amenties were not very good in my room. staff was courteas and well behaved but slow to respond. overall average experience. Can stay once if you book the balcony room other wise not recommended from my experience.

This is an average hotel. Rooms are not very airy. cleanliness, food and services are average. The staff behaviour is good and they are polite. They will listen to your request and will try to fulfill at their best. But waiting time for any service or request is quite long. I had to checkout a day before and they said I will be getting a refund of 1 day charges. Later they said the refund is out of policy but Mr. Rajeev made sure that I get the refund because they said so while I was checking out. Thanks to him. I may stay here again if I found a better room and gets a better service.

We booked for balcony view room but was provided with no view for a day and the internet they provided never worked.
Even after complaining a lot I was not provided with a good service.
They insist everything is working but no running hot water + no internet made it worse.
The breakfast was also bad and if you order something it will take more than 45 min to deliver.

The service was also bad as many times reception won't pick up the phone or you won't get staff response.
Horrible experience won't recommend to anyone.

This hotel is even far from the main nainital mall road and no public transport is available from there.

very nice n luxury stay ... staff is really good. they upgrade my room deluxe to premium. and food is also good. mr. vikas manager is very quite n good. they fill 3 time tea n coffee accessories. without saying anyting.

Rio Grand is a good hotel in Nanital, I stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. Rooms are comfortable, toilets are clean. Our room had a nice hill facing balcony. The only drawback of the hotel is that there is no garden or lawn in the hotel to spend some time outside the room. This is the only reason why I am not completely satisfied with this hotel. In fact, I stayed in six hotels on this Uttarakhand trip and only one hotel had free space outside the hotel. I understand that it is because of the hilly, hilly terrain and Nanital is already a small town and mostly crowded with tourists. Otherwise, nice breakfast, nice interior, amazing balcony view, clean toilet and good privacy and staff is also very helpful.

Our stay at Rio Grand was amazing. Location of hotel is very good. The staff is also very co-operative and helpful. Specially Manager Mr. Aakash and Hitesh Bisht were very friendly. They upgraded our room and also offered complementary breakfast. Overall a pleasent stay.

Stay in this hotel is feels like we are in the home..... Very safe and family like environment.... Very very best for family , couples and friends circle .... Must do visit this hotel when planning for Nanital... Best staff ever... RIO GRAND... The name of excellent service.

Overall experience was not good if you are going in summer you may like it but for winters won't recommend at all. They don't have room heater no hot water food taste not good rooms are not sound proof so you always hear some sound from outside
