The Raintree, St Mary's Road

This is a lovely hotel, great service and brilliant staff, however the room walls seem paper thin and you can hear every move from the other rooms. Its location is in a quiet part of town, it seems a long way to find other restaurants. But still a good place to lay your head.

Very well located hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly staff but inexperienced staff. Limited menu options. In the breakfast spread, the choices were minimum and repetitive on both days. They just carried over from previous day, it was obvious.
The masala dosa I ordered at breakfast from live counter had hair in it! I pointed it out but no one really bothered to come to me and explain or offer an alternative. I did not want to make a scene about it also.

Really beautiful place not far from the Tomb of St Thomas and Fort St George.
Roof terrace and swimming pool are a big bonus here.
Rooms have a mini bar and the range of channels on the TV is awesome.
Check in is painless

The rooms are big and cozy. The service is excellent. The pool and the gym are on the top most floor with a beautiful view.
The only negative is that the breakfast hall is always too noisy.

Outstanding hotel, had a great stay here for 10 days. Was there for work and the hotel itself, the room, and the hotel restaurants were all perfect. And very nicely designed as well. Staff were also friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to staying there again!

I would come back every time

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a pleasant stay. The location is quaint, but you will have to walk a little bit to find restaurants and stores. The buffet is excellent and comes with your stay, depending on the type of room you choose. Ashraf from the housekeeping staff was wonderful and kept the room spotless. The staff in general were very pleasant. One of the drawbacks is that, as a non-local to Chennai, getting around for essentials can be difficult without local knowledge or transportation. However, the hotel is great and I definitely recommend it.

I recently returned to this hotel and stayed here again, and I must say that I was once again impressed by the outstanding service that was provided during my stay. The staff is incredibly attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure that guests are comfortable and have everything they need.

The restaurants on the premises are simply fantastic, offering a wide selection of dishes that are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The variety is great and the taste is exceptional, making for a wonderful dining experience.

This hotel is an excellent choice for business trips, with all of the amenities and services that one could need for a productive and comfortable stay. The internet connection could be faster though.

The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is also quite lovely, lots of trees, with plenty of great shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's a wonderful area to explore and get to know during your stay.

Finally, I must give a special shoutout to Ashraf, who did an exceptional job during my stay. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay to the fullest. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel, and I'm sure that you'll have an equally wonderful experience as I did.
