First, we booked our room at Shillong Guest House, but later they told since no rooms are available at Shillong Guest House, we have to go to New Shillong Guest House (same owner). We had gone to New Shillong Guest in morning (around 10 am). They told no room is vacant now, so they will not be able to provide room before 12 noon. We kept our luggage, given my ID card and gone for Cherapunjee. We came back at 8pm. We checked in a room with tariff 2500/night. I am listing down all the worst thing we faced. 1. The wall of that room is made by plywood. So, you can hear all the sounds from both left and right side's rooms. Too much irritating and no privacy. 2. Room's lock from inside is very bad. After locking, it was taking almost 5 minutes to open. And we were lucky that, we noticed it. Since we had early morning check out, we had to struggle with that in morning. 3. They have not given minimum things (towels, soaps etc.) which all hotels provide. 4. Bathroom condition is very bad. I wish I could have taken photos. No hanger for hand shower and it is twisted around the tap (?). I think that was not tap also. I don't know what was that because water was touching the wall as well while coming from that tap. 5. Behavior of staff is very bad. Since we had to check out in early morning, I asked him to return my id at 8pm. He told that ID is not with him now. He will return it later. After asking it for several times, he came to our room and gave the ID card along with bill. He rudely told that since I have taken the ID I have to pay the full amount. At 10pm which hotel asks for money...!!! We told about the bathroom condition but his prompt reply was..."haa humko paataa hai". Means they have given that room intentionally or condition of all rooms are same.
Since it was night, we don't had any option to search for another hotel. Otherwise, we would have left that guest house then and there.

Very good guest house, staffs behaviour are good, 2 kms far from police bazaar, beautiful place behind the hills and by the side of Hydari park, better than to stay in the congested area of police bazaar, foods available in the guest house is cheap and very good. Very much Satisfied.

Little bit inside from the road. There having single room at ₹600 - 700 range. That room has all the basic facilities and T.V., but it is not much spacious. All other rooms having rate above thousand. The administration is good. They provide drinking water at rooms.

We had been staying in that lodge for 3 days. Having booked directly and comprehending about the room rate we checked-in to that lodge. But at the culmination of our tenure we found that the room rate is much higher. It is against ethics and never felt such a displeasure.

Good place, little bit expensive I would say. Staff are friendly. Only problem is the neighbors around the guest house. Early morning you can hear them shouting and screaming, which really is irritating. You won't get Taxi here have to walk a bit for that

There is no such place there. Don't ever book it. It's a fraud place. Also never book oyo online. Telling you from my experience.

Room service is not good. The toilet is not comfortable. But the behavior of employees is good.

Most third class room Staff behaviour are too rude, No room heater available, geaser are also out of service, window glasses are broken , chill cold in all room, people do not book this hotel's room
