Hotel Affarwat

I booked two rooms for 12 & 13 August,22. The location is good. The view from one room was good, but the second was too bad. The rooms were very dirty, bed covers were not changed before giving. It appeared that they had not done dusting for several days. Not hygienic at all. The curtains in the bath room were so dirty. Not satisfied at all. Except the manager, the staff was not humble and courteous. No buffet. Food was average. T.V. remote was not working. Disturbed wifi network. Won’t recommend, if you have another option.

Our stay was very good at Affarwat. Food was the best part. Recommended hotel in Gulmarg. The only thing I didn’t like is when we refuse the tip at the checkout why does the staff gets so much angry. Professionalism says that you shouldn’t even ask for tip because customer have already paid for the stay and if we say No then the staff should be polite enough to accept that

Good rooms. Good location. Decent food But… unprofessional staff. Not well maintained bathrooms. Shower broke. Basic amenities not provided. They do not adjust a bit. Wifi was not available at all. They keep haggling.

Overall a really good property in terms of everything food,stay,services,own parking & Location.
Loved the Food there (you can blindly try any dish there).Rooms are a bit small but going as per the location where they are it is okay. Located in Main Market so you have lot's of other eateries available there (recommended - pizza,burger-northwind cafe).We did breakfast & dinner here - no complaints & excellent service from hotel staff is there.Overall Will recommend everyone to stay here & Value for Money Offer.

Hotel Affaravat has been found to be better than expected. Very scenic ambience where the hotel is located and we found the room was spacious and room service was also of good quality. Really our trip turned out to be excellent in Gulmarg.

I stayed at hotel Affarwat along with my family. We were a group of 8 and had taken 4 rooms. First of all I would like to mention that the property is quite good and has a splendid view (only from the front facing rooms and the view from back facing rooms were horrible). Food was also very good, we had chicken dopyaza and dum aloo along with rice and roti. Apart from these two good points the place was a huge disappointment. Firstly the attitude and behaviour of the staffs are totally unprofessional. They are extremely rude and do not attend to your needs and queries. We always had a feeling of being ordered around as if we were staying free of cost!!. They even cleared off the food and dinner plates without asking us while we were not done with the dinner. For a hotel which charges 5500 - 6000 per night I would expect the staff to be a bit more courteous especially the restaurant staffs (And they even demanded tips despite the frowns we receives all throughout our stay). Secondly though the hotel offers good facilities On paper, they are very poorly maintained and are hardly of any use. WiFi connections were terrible the beddings and toilet towels were Dirty. They even turned off the room heaters by 12 midnight (late November; when temperatures were close to zero). I sincerely hope the hotel owner/management take adequate measures to train their staffs on their conduct towards the guests.

Decent hotel in gulmarg but needs to improving food and heaters.

Overall ok ok expirence.

Our stay was very bad and had very bad experience. Food and location are good but management is very poor. Our room stank very bad and we weren't able to stay inside the room. But hotel night shift manager wasn't ready to accept the fact, switched off the heater and provided since dummy heater. Don't plan to stay here.
