Hotel Sakya Abode

What an experience it was staying here!! Awesome location overlooking the Spiti Valley, fabulous service with extremely helpful & soft spoken staff members, lip smacking food. One of the best hotel experiences I had in recent times.

One of the cutest and best hotels throughout the circuit. Well-kept rooms, good facilities, and a great food buffet. The location is easy to find, reasonably closer to the market, and popular cafes. Won't think twice before staying here again!!

We had stayed at Sakya Abode for 3 nights in October 2022. One night at the old block and 2 nights at the new block (the two blocks are connected to each other and not far off). The room in the old block was small and cozy, however the room in the new block was very spacious with a balcony, a great view of the mountains and modern amenities. The toilets had all modern facilities. Buffet was available for both breakfast and dinner in a community dining area. Music was played in the dining area which gave it a very peaceful atmosphere. During the 3 nights that we stayed there, we got 3 different cuisine options for dinner - Chinese, Indian and Tibetan. Considering the limited resources and options at Kaza, we were pleasantly surprised to see coconut in one of our dishes (we understand that it had to be sourced from Chandigarh / Manali / Shimla). The staff were very hardworking. One of our best stays in the Spiti circuit.

Its a good place. Though rooms are small but they are warm. Staff iwas very nice towards the guests.

The property will give you taste of both the authenticity of Buddhist culture and simplicity in the common area plus the luxury of highly upgraded modern rooms. Poonam bhai ji will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and his hospitality is commendable. Food is of mouth watering quality. Property also has a wide range of books for the book lovers and magazines. You'd find a lot of intresting things in the common area itself like fossils, pictures and prints of Travellers who have visited before. Sakya abode is the perfect cozy resort to stay if you are planning to explore Spiti for a few days.

I recently stayed at Hotel Sakya Abode and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful gardens and mountains. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities such as Electric Blankets which is very important in minus temperature . The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests or questions.

Also there is one common room, which is warmer than other room where one can be there without 3-4 layers of clothing, Which dining room.

Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sakya Abode and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and authentic experience in the Himalayas. The hotel is perfect for travelers looking for a peaceful and tranquil getaway, and the staff and facilities are top-notch. I will definitely be returning in the future.
