They are renovating! The rooms are good and spacious. They won’t even kept a bottle of water in room (so 3 stars) however The stay was good. breakfast was very basic but tasty!

Hotel famecity has lost its charm we had some good memories attached to it but now cleanliness is nil, serving staffs are all goons, during our stay last time big brawl in the beauty parlour attached with the hotel some shady stuff.... and next visit there were some guest got drunk in the middle of the night shouting, call the reception no response miserable.....Not a place for decent people BIG NO if you are with your family KIDS MAY HAVE WRONG INFLUENCE BETTER KEEP AWAY

We stayed on 17th Sep at Fame City, we had great experience staying here for a day. The manager took care of everything for us. Complimentary breakfast was given to 4 of us, to mention their sabji was very delicious of chole n moong dal. We'll stay here whenever we'll visit Guwahati. Highly recommend

I attended a juron ceremony here this week... the food served was of less than average quality. All items were cold, including vegetables, pulses and non veg items.... They were unable to serve rotis on time, guests kept waiting for rotis for 15-20 mins, then they came with 8-10 cut pieces of rotis, which get exhausted in few seconds, again u need to wait fkr 20 more mins. Catering was pathetic... the cuttleries used to get exhausted every now and then, and after 10 mins wait they used to bring so called washed cuttleries, all drowning in water. Every plate was full of dirtly water, which we needed to first flush off then dry our plates with 4-5 napkins... still plate was stinking with detergent like smell...
The water dispenser used to get empty every now and then, as only one dispenser was kept... guests had to wait for even water for 10-15 mins... and the colour of water was as if it was brought directly from some local pond, yellowish in colour...
Extremely pathetic service... Never saw such a worst service in any hotel...

The staff are very decent and caring. It feels like home.. The food is good , rooms are clean. Overall I loved staying here.
