Regenta Central North Goa by Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd

We booked Regenta through Agoda after reading a range of positive reviews. We had chosen the full board option which included breakfast and dinner buffet.
We found the reception staff courteous and helpful. The room was absolutely clean and had most of the traveller's essentials.
However, we were in for a rude shock when we reached the restaurant. We were told that the dinner buffet was cancelled due to low occupancy and a pathetic menu was given as alternative. When we asked why the Agoda specifications did not mention this (especially the booking was done a few hours back), there was no answer. One can understand the cancellation of buffet, but to show a poor range of choices was appalling - to say the least.
I just wonder why hotels like these can't just allow the few guests to order from the restaurant menu?
The issue was the hotel did not deliver what they promised!
The issue was the managers or the leadership team didn't make an effort to rectify their mistake.
Poor planning and decision making of the hotel management team ruined our first stay at Goa.
I have emailed Agoda to revise my booking plan to "without breakfast and dinner", but I'm yet to hear from them.
A good place but not good enough if you are looking for professionalism!

First time visited.. We stayed 2 days.. the
hotel was 25 minuts faraway from baga Beach (5km)... Rooms were clean, food was good.
All staff from reception to kitchen were polite & humble. Always ready to give service with smile. Specially mentioning Lisa and Roohan kitchen staff was osm guys

it was very good...good view n huge balcony as it was the corner room.. washroom was clean n tidy...well behaved staff room was fine... sufficient space according to the price...overall good experience..!!4 the resort is in the prime location of the city...in between hyatt centric and novotel...very location according to the price...room was spacious.. washroom was okay...the problem we faced during our 3 day stay was of moisture...there was a lot of moisture in the room...on ur 3rd day of the stay the floor was completely wet due to the moisture...beds were full of moisture..!!! the staff was good..!!!

Overall experience was good, the price was also reasonable. The restaurant inside the hotel (called Saffron) provided tasty foods and the service was nice too. But the location was very far from airport, which is a bit inconvenient.

Nice place to stay with family, they have very friendly gesture also helpful. Smiling face service. Good parking facility. Rooms were clean and also cleaned every day. Hygienic is maintained. Breakfast options are good. Overall it was great experience to stay with Regenta that too with family. One star less for swimming pool, it was not that clean.

Spacious room, clean, facilities are amazing. I booked it for a night for my wedding blessing ceremony and the staff were very co-operative. There is a pool, carom board, pool table and chess board. Didn't get to taste the food but I heard it was good.

Everything was good. All amenities like gym, gaming area, pool etc were we'll maintained. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. Balcony is also nice.
I have one suggestion though - the background colour of 'DND' and 'please clean my room' , should be provided as red and green so as to avoid confusion of the staff members.

Good hospitality, great ambience, adequate food options, play area and gym, well maintained pool.
Had a great experience during the stay also staff is very polite and helpful.
