Serene Waters Homestay Goa

Rooms are stinky and very small. Service is also questionable. You will find it very difficult to find the entrance. If you are driving your car here, then this place is absolutely not for you.

In the room TV, AC , and toilet flush was not at all working. It was really a bad experience, and the owner did not show up his presence to attend the complaints.

I'm really wondering how this property has got such high ratings. Definitely not suggesting it to stay with family.

A good place to stay with family and for couples. Leo (owner), the manager and service staff is co-operative and helpful. During our lent season, we were need to have vegetarian food during our stay. I would recommend to have the dinner/lunch from serene itself. A food was cooked less spicy and great taste. I tried outside resto food also but nothing to compare with this hotel food taste. Breakfast, what I experienced from all of past trip as compared to Serene didn't found any where.
Serene is next to Seneray, the cool and calm place. And finally this place lies in between to visit your dream spot in GOA.

The price is overrated. The room was clean but the bedsheets and blankets provided were not clean and had stains on in it. The bathroom is unhygienic too.

The prices for food is overrated too as the portion size.

And specially one of the staff tries to be too friendly and keeps on annoying when ordering food or serving.

I really loved the stay, nice rooms and some of the needed things were not there but it was ok. But the river side view was super.

One star is just for the river view! Here are 10 reasons why you shouldn't visit this place.

1. Poor hospitality, needs to talk and treat customers better ( Beware of the manager - Benny!)
2. All 3 room ACs were non-functional
3. Not advisable for a group of people
4. Inclusive breakfast was average!
5. Rooms alloted were not opened in time. (Owner was waiting for the customer to request, on asking replies were staff is gone home!)
6. TVs weren't working!
7. Towels were average!
8. All Mattress were hard.
9. In adequate parking space
10. Check-out timings are not respected. (The manager just walks in at 9am! First you struggle to sleep and then they want you to move out)

I hope the above helps the owners to improve. Honestly, i'd never refer this place to anyone.

Average rating as there was no option during Christmas or new year time. Location is really good near river. Staff is supportive. But room quality is below average.

Excellent place to relax. The staff is very cooperative. Parking is comfortable mainly for small cars.

Serene Homestay run by Leo, a very friendly and helpful person. He guides you for exploring the Goa better. The stay location is very good if you love peaceful and calm places. A riverside open space makes it very interesting for late night chats, early morning Sunbath and bird-watching. Standard package includes breakfast, and worth to have before you start exploring. Overall, the experience about stay, food and knowing Leo personally was pleasing and promising to book it again for future stays. Pocket friendly place!!
