Collection O 18786 Hotel Sona Panaji

The rooms are very small. Service is not very good. Arrogant staff. Breakfast is for 300 per day. Quantity of breakfast is really small as compared to price.

Breakfast issue:
On first day, they gave the breakfast at 9.45am which was half hour late than when we called.
On second day we told them on prior that send the breakfast at 8.45am since it starts from 8.30am onwards. They gave at 9.30am which was 45min late. We had a strict schedule to follow as we wanted to start our trip but these people are least bothered about their customers Timings.

Hygiene issue:
Very bad and congested bathrooms. While checking the room, it looked good but when u start using it then u get to know how old and stinky the toilets are. They are only covering their dustbins with black paper and are rusty from bottom.

Booking issue:
So we had told them that we are staying for three days, and the receptionist told us that we can pay everyday for the room and total payment is not needed but at day 2 they asked us to checkout because the room was not booked and the same room got booked online. When I checked online it showed available. Usually when the rooms are booked there is a small message below that says 'sold out' . I did not see any such message. We did have an argument over the breakfast the same day may be that's why they did this to us.

Tv issue:
The tv was shut, did not work. So we had to go to them for a number of times to make it work

Not a good experience with these people. They are least bothered about their customers.

Hotel room is so small.bed is not comfortable. Room tariff is high for such a small room. TV only for show piece,not recharge for channel.

Very Bad Experience
We were a unmarried couple and wanted a room but the Reception guy Rejected giving the room , saying we just give rooms to Married People ONLY.

Did not expected such a BAD STEREOTYPE

Poor maintenance. It was very difficult to find the hotel during night time. No glow sign board or lights. Vehicles are parked on the road obscuring the hotel.

Rooms are just okay (small in size) staff was polite but one of our room toilet was in very bad condition and is very small toilet sheet was like broken type making cracking sound when sit on it very bad that thing, no toiletries were provided. Ac was in bad condition.
Although our second room was ok/much better.
So you have a lot of scope of improvement.

Today i. e 3/12/22 we checked in this property, we have booked through online, the photos showing in the website are purely misleading the customers and the status of this property not in condition,
1. Bed spreads not cleaned, used one provided
2. They are not providing water botel, when asks they adamantly answer they installed RO unit u can get water from there.
3. This property do not have power backup,
4. Poor in cleaning of rooms ans bath rooms
5. Notice AC, These acs belongs to 1990

The stay in this property is very pathetic and not value for money...

Rooms were quite small and ac was al together set on 19 by default which couldn't be changed. Just you can on and off. On services, I would like to say there was no landline to call reception. Some mobile number was given for services. They don't have food house or kitchen was breakfast was taken and given to us from some other place (which was tasty and delicious) location is walking distance for casino lovers. Wine shop and restaurants are in the same lane.

Its an neat lodging place which is located at Panjim on the river bank of Mandovi. Its very near to Casino's which makes it an ideal place to get the room booked.
