Gonpalok Homestay

Beautiful place, amazing room. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Located a bit outside of town with beautiful views of the mountains. The food served here is amazing. You can walk to town and he can also give you contact details of a place that rents scooters and motorbikes. Highly recommended 😊

A very nice and cosy place to stay.😊Very helpful and good natured people, who genuinely feel happy from within to help out people. Moreover the lounge and dining area are excellently 👌 maintained.
Also there are a lot of trees planted near the entrance 🌱which add to the charm of the place. Slippers are provided by them as one isn't allowed to enter the homestay wearing outside shoes

Well its the worst stay ever in any home stay, We were 14 persons the house is a 2 tire planing where basement had 5 rooms which were of lower category ans the house above had all furnished rooms of better amenities. on booking we were shown rooms fir the house on upper floors and when we checked in we where given lower accommodation saying that our category was different when we booked. There are 9 rooms and only 2 girls as staff and even those 2 were inexperienced and not up to service they are highly under staffed and service is pathetic. Even while serving dinner of breakfast which has a limited menu if you ordered food roti will be served before Sabzi rice way ahead of dall. Even in breakfast they will say they dont have a simple thing like bread to be served saying they dont have it which we found it to be false as we saw them serving on upper floor. They dont have room heaters and when we asked they say they will charge ₹150 for a night I mean who dont have room heaters in this cold climate. We were even charged for a bon fire for 2 consecutive days even they charged for 2 bottles of water per room which were supposed complementary per day, they even asked for a charge for our driver who slept in the house porch floor with out any facilities provided to them just to escape the freezing cold. I mean what kind of service they provide and what are they charging for. Its a fishing expedition to take their guest for a ride, I wont even like to give a single star for review but google has at least one star for poor ratings but I would say its a a worst place to stay that can be avoidable, Wont recommend it to any one please save yourselves the trouble.

We had a pleasant stay at Gonpalok homestay. Everything from stay to food was great. We had some amazing chhurpi, momos, coffee, omlette, paneer curry.
The view from the homestay is fantastic.
However we had one issue. They have 2 properties and without us knowing, they shifted our 2nd day from old building to new one. The issue with the new property is that view is not good, compared to older building that has Dirang river and mountain view. Also the road to homestay is bit bumpy and Google map doesn't show proper direction.

Still, staying in the homestay was one of the beautiful experiences we had.

Wonderful place to stay. The homestay has a lovely interior with large and well planned rooms. The view was perfect. The staff was super friendly and serves tasty food. All in all a superb place to stay when you are in the area.

Best homestay I have stayed in! Clean, cozy rooms, great service, humble staff, beautiful interiors, good parking space, located in a quiet peaceful place. They provide delicious homely food, too! And they catered wonderfully to all our needs at very reasonable prices! Loved the place and would stay here again if ever in Dirang!

Well maintained property. Very neat and clean. Spacious rooms with room heaters and all required amenities. Food was up to the expectations
