This fort is 5000 plus year old...very critical to find its gravitational center so government don't take this place in heritage but very famous temple of lord Shiva is very near to fort and two rivers Yamuna and Chambal is clearly visible.

Fort is located on small hill beside Yamuna River. Fort is having fortification, bastions and ruins of monuments. Fort of Bhareh belongs to Sengar Raja's.

This fort is a sign of the kings of the Sengar dynasty. In 1857, when a rebellion was waged against the British in Meerut. Then Raja Roop Singh of Bhareh did the work of ghee in that rebellion. He, along with Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, had raised the trumpet of independence against the English army, and once it is said that Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi also came to this fort for a night. And then in 1857 itself, the British had blown up this fort with cannons. And then Raja Roop Singh ji fought for the freedom revolution against the British for three years (1857 to 1860), living in the forests around this fort. And then one day he was arrested by the English army in 1860, and sentenced to Kalapani.
