Talbehat is a small town situated near Jhansi in district Lalitpur-UP (India). Talbehat fort was built in 1618 by Bharat Shah. When Rani Laxmibai was struggling against Britishers, it was under the territory of Maharaja Mardan Singh. Britishers went to Jhansi after destroying a wall of this fort. This is very cool and calm place. The Fort has got three temples inside, dedicated to Angad, Hanumanji & Narsimha Bhagwan. This fort has two main gates.
The Fort is situated on Jhansi-Lalitpur road. Raja Mardan Singh ruled here from this fort & he fought alongwith Rani Laxmi Bai against the Britishers in 1957. The Fort have massive structures. This fort is situated at the bank of a Mansarovar lake. This lake is suitable for various water sports activities. At present the facility of boat club with paddle boats is available, there is Ghat, Jetty & Restaurant also. In the premises there is Hazaria Mahadev Temple on the banks of Lake.

It's an old and very beautiful fort with a huge entrance. It has a templ e in it, gives a breathtaking view of Talbehat from one side and has water body on the other side of it. It is situated on a hill hence one has to climb the many flight of stairs to reach the main fort.

A historic place that deserves to be well maintained. I hope the local government does something.

This is a fort of Raja Mardan singh whose kingdom also fought against Britishers with Jhasi. This fort is very big as it covers more than 2 km area on hills. the pond behind this fort makes this fort better to watch. This fort is fre to visit but i heard in some years here Tickets will also available. This is mostly covered by forest. The government of up hasn't done anything to secure this ancient fort and make it listed on tourist place.

It's an abandoned fort ruins. There's just the one access but it's isolation makes for a good picnic spot
