There are two routes to reach this fort. One being from pachhapur- daryagaon (easier one) & other from dhondse village. It takes 1 hour to reach from the former and 2.5 hrs from the latter. After reaching the entrance the fort is quite big and you need entire day to explore it completely. Must visit.

Do consider to hike Sudhagad Fort especially during monsoon. The scenic beauty is just amazing. From our base village it took nearly 2 hours to reach at the top. Start your hike to the earliest so that you have enough time to explore after reaching at top and try to descend and reach the base village before it's dark especially during monsoon. At some places while hiking you will find some local civilians selling some refreshments and water bottles. If you are visiting during monsoon carry extra pair of clothing and prefer carrying raincoat other than umbrella or windscheater. Prefer visiting with a small group atleast, if you are visiting during monsoon. Do not litter around and keep the place clean.

It's wonderful fort and huge to explore. Preferred to visit in Aug and possibly with stay. Drone shots may give u mesmerizing shots. I only appeal to govt to make the stairs robust for tourists. Do read history of it by Google.

This is situated near Pali village in Maharashtra which is almost 120 km from Mumbai. It can be accessed through private vehicle. The trek is easy and very scenic during monsoon. One does not need to carry lunch for this trek as it is available at waada. There is a big plateau at the top and one needs to walk a lot after reaching the summit. Chor darwaza is must visit. Do not forget to carry odomos as there are jungli mosquitoes at the top. The attraction points on the top is Shiva temple, Rajwada, hanuman temple, chor darwaja etc.

Definitely one of the scenic and biggest fort in Raigad District of Maharashtra, India. It can be a day hike and you can also do an overnight hike. The trail leading to the fort is very scenic and has amazing flora and fauna. The history of this fort is really fascinating. The ancient architecture is really beautiful. There is a temple at the Top of the fort and couple of structures. You could also find a lake on the top. The fort is really huge and it take a whole day to discover the fort. It’s best to start early and spend as much time as you can at the Top. Please be on your best behavior and respect the fort and the nature and do not litter the place.
