Harihara Puthra is famous for tamilnadu style food. Especially their dosa items like masala dosa&onion dosa are good. Sambar&chutney are exceptionally good.But taste of sambar is inconsistent. Some days they provide their typical sweetened sambar and some days they provide normal sambar.

Now they are started kizhi porotta&kizhi biriyani,personally I liked both.Their service is not satisfactory. Service neeeds improvement.

One of the best and authentic vegetarian restaurant in Palakkad, Kerala. The service, taste, quality and quantity are excellent in this place. Homely and "unique" Dishes were available. Sweets and savouries were also best. A must visit for vegetarians!

One of the main vegetarian hotel in palakkad. It is situated inner to palakkad market. They were crouded and 1st we take token for food. Their whole atmosphere was different compared to other hotels. It was a different experience there. Their meals was nice. It is no so expensive. There is small parking area available. Service was okay

If you're in Kerala and want to try authentic Tamil Brahmin cuisine, this is the place to go. Sevai, kozhakotai, ella adai... You name it they have it. And the prices are very very reasonable.
And the collection of sweets - wheat halwa, jhangri (south India jalebi), rava Ladoo, Mysore Pak, appam - excellently made with pure ghee.
If you feel palakkad is too far for you, this place is hardly 2 km from the kochi Salem Highway (from palakad bypass flyover). Drop in during a road trip and enjoy
I also had the good fortune of meeting the proprietor, a very down to earth person who sits at the billing table.

Food has always been excellent, but the staff who serve you will never ever smile. The management seems to a special affection for such people who serve you without a smile 😃.
Sweets are also really good

THe restaurant is busy through out the day, need to wait for long hours if you planning to have a meal or lunch from here which is served in a most authentic way. Food quality is excellent and worth every penny. Coffee is outstanding too. They also prepare fresh sweets made out of pure ghee.
Hariharaputra has been operating for decades in Palakkad and is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in town, and of-course food is served in a traditional way.
Whenever we are in the market area, this is a sure to go place for me.
The washrooms and wash area needs a major renovation, feel uneasy and unhygienic most of times. Staff and service is highly recommendable!

One of the best pure vegetarian hotel in Palakkad. Unniyappam made with ghee was delicious. The Bonda you get there is special. Not as spicy as it gets in other hotels. It had the aroma and taste of Uzhunnuvada with coconut husks. Even if the price is a little higher, it is something that is not available anywhere else. Definitely will buy again once eaten.
