Sanskrit college and University is popular and old college such as calcutta university. It is situated at college street. Mr. Bidyasagar is student of this college and latter he is appointed as the principal of the college. During his working period he open it for all type students to learn Sanskrit. Being a Sanskrit pandit he eliminate many topic of sanskrit (Bedanto, sankhi darshan etc) as he realise in modern age these are quite irrelevant compare to modern science.

This is a very old college in West Bengal located at college street area. This college has a lot of history but now its upgraded as a University. Staff are very well and ambience of their premises is so nice. So many legends name involved in this college as a Teacher and a alumni. They offer UG, PG, M.Phil, PhD courses. Communication is so easy Bus, Tram, Metro, Auto available. College Street book market and Coffee House situated in this university surrounding.

College was good. There is no hostel for girls. Whoever will come here bring all the needed things. Here people are 50-50. Not good not bad.

The Sanskrit College and University is one of the best former college and now University in Kolkata. It located at College Street, just opposite to the Day's Publishing Company.

Sanskrit College is one among the pioneering institutions of Calcutta or Kolkata. This glorious college was established in 1824. The institution rose to prominence under the principalship of famous Bengali reformer and educationist Pandit Iswarchandra Vidyasagar. Notable alumni of the college are Bijoy Krishna Goswami, Abanindranath Tagore, Iswarchandra Vidyasagar, Mahanambrata Brahmachari, Saradaranjan Roy, etc. Lately the college transformed into an University.
