Chengalpattu Junction

Situated at a distance of 60KMs south to the city of Chennai, this station serves more than a lakh commuters everyday.

Chengalpattu Junction is the most important Junction in Southern Railways. It's the largest and has many tracks. Every train has to stop atleast for 2 mins. It's well maintained and always kept clean. It has many to and fro local trains from beach to chengalpet and chengalpet to kanchipuram. The chengalpet Jn. Plays a vital role in many people's day to day life as it commutes to city. There is two seperate station master rooms and there is always prior announcements regarding arrival of trains and if any delay. It's situated in the bank of the huge Kolavai lake. It's such a beauty to watch everyday when we pass by the Kolavai lake. Chengalpet junction has a safe and secure environment.

Scenic Railway station with a huge lake view , All south trains stop and go in this station. EMU connection to Chennai beach and thirumalpur, Kanchipuram district. U can see lot historical remains when u enter the station . I hope there was a castle or something else not sure of it .

Nice railway station. Every day most of the people reach Chennai City from train.There are many direct special trains available from this junction. Near there is big lake. This railway is station always neat and clean.

It has many platforms for departure and arrival for railway

It was maintained properly

But some place was dirty
due to public / citizens should use dust bins to maintain the place properly

The place provides good service

Station need to be clean little bit. The trains availability is good. You will get all the trains which is going to all over tamilnadu from Chennai wi pass through this station only. And the local trains also available from here to till Chennai beach. The bus stop is very near to the station. The lake view from the station is awesome in the morning. The sunrise from the mountains and lake is awesome.
