Virudunagar Junction is a very well maintained and nice railway station. I had drunk tea here and it was really nice in taste. People here are very polite and humble.

Virudhunagar railway station is a junction. But i doubt that because the facilities and amenities are not up to the standard of a junction. But the new building is a small satisfaction to sore eyes. Central hall is a bit sophisticated but the platforms lack neatness. Coach indicators are not working properly. They are not present in all platforms.

Good railway station, very much hygienic and cleanliness maintenance. Free Google wifi available for 30min for all passenger, pure paid drinking water also available, railway staffs are also Good and helpful behavior.. more ever it's good station than Madurai junction
Sankareeswaran Alagarsamy
Its junction station. Hub to sivakasi, sattur, kovilpatti and etc. Its walkable (10-15minutes/ approximately 1km) distance from old busstand. If you are coming from madurai, better to get down in police station bus stop and it's very near(500meter/5min walk)
Pandi Thangam
It's one of the junction in madurai division. Four way direction. One to tirunelveli, one to sengottai, one to manamadurai, one to madurai. Waiting Hall, retiring room, ticket booking office, RPF, RMS, atm, all available. Virudhunagar is district capital also. Parking slot available. Junction located near to bus stand only. Transport facilities available. Free WiFi.. Restaurants available..

The station is in just ok condition. No announcement for trains arrival and departure.. we need to enquire in SM room only..

Railway station is well maintained but lot of mosquitos which is common on all stations and no public/Private buses to reach this station but it's too close to old bus stand approx. less than a km 👍

If south people want to go bangalore either this or madurai would be the deaparture. This is quite lessiure compared to madurai
