A rural junction station that connects the Katihar and Malda division line. One of the very old and my most favourite station of Eastern Railway but now it stands with electricity & water connection, over bridge, 2 huge concrete platform and shade. It's right that it needs more improvement in manywhere as like cleaning process, sufficient sitting arrangements but it doesn't get because of a rural one. Because of the nearest Barsoi Junction it doesn't also have any stoppage of superfast or express train. Only some of the passengers train of Katihar, Malda, Raiganj and NJP-Silliguri line are stopped here.

Have avid memory with this station decade ago I came here to collect money due to my father from a trader named Hafijuddin. Clean station, calm and peaceful not crowded, whenever I pass by I remember that time.

It is a small railway station near katihar. This railway station has two platforms only and 05 tracks for many routes. Mukuriya Junction has a over bridge for change platforms. Overall it is a good railway station.
