Namste Viewers,

The way railways modified the station is admirable and still improvements required .
Sasaram railway station is on the top in rohtas district and it connects two routes ,one is sasaram to Gaya and sasaram to Ara Patna in down and for up sasaram to Banaras .
There are 7 platforms and 6 in use other one is new track.
Here only one fly over to cross platform and you can enter from either of the side .
It needs one more fly over as there many tourists come here visit near by places and passenger .
Some Fans are dysfunctional and bathroom need proper cleaning .
People should throw litter into dustin although dustbin are less on platform that's all from my end .

Happy journey and safe travel.

Thankyou

Ssm is look good but station master or operating person is not working well.train time delaying every day without any reason. I got 2 to 3 time chance to travel from sasaram to Ara so in morning there is a train Patna express. Train didn't get signal till 7 am but the timing of train is 6:05 am morning. If any train comming from ara then there is a reason but no train but still station master hold this train for more than 1 hours. Very bad experience both time.

Sasaram Junction railway station is on the Gaya–Mughalsarai section of the Grand Chord line in India.

It serves Sasaram and the surrounding areas in Rohtas district in the Indian state of Bihar. Sasaram is well connected to Delhi and Kolkata.

Neat and clean railway station, major station in Kaimur and Rohtas distt, maximum train stay here one or two minutes and this station just behind the sasaram bus stand.

For Tarachandi Dham get down here and van/auto always available here...

During the Vedic age, Sasaram was a part of the ancient Kashi kingdom. Sasaram name is originated from the Sahastrarama, meaning a thousand groves. Sasaram was once also named Shah Serai (meaning "Place of King") as it is the birthplace of the Afghan king Sher Shah Suri, who ruled over Delhi, much of northern India, what is now Pakistan, and eastern Afghanistan for five years, after defeating the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Many of Sher Shah Suri's governmental practices were adopted by the Mughals and the British Raj including taxation, administration, and the building of a paved road from Kabul to Bengal, also called the Grand Trunk Road
