There's a hide out kinda river area, very few people knows about, right below the bridge a narrow passage within the jungle 2 min walk approx.. Must visit places of Dehradun if you are a river lover.

I was born and brought up around this place.. It is a beautiful bridge that is built over River Tons to coonect Bishtgaon village to Chandroti.. It is a popular picnic spot and attracts many visitors, especially during summers.. Might not look very clean most of the time because visitors leave the place dirty after they are done with the picnic, but the local villagers often run a cleanliness drive to keep it clean..

Beautiful stream. BUT, you are likely to find garbage & groups of boys partying there. Go in a group.

This place ia not so good as mentioned in the earlier reviews and comments. People mainly come here to drink and bath in the small stream flowing under this bridge. This place is inhabited by shrubs and forest. The water quality of the stream is not so good so my advice to people is please don't bath here.
And my request to everyone is please don't pollute the area around the stream. After drinking or picnicking carry your wastes and residuals and drop them in nearby bins.

Seems like a very old bridge. Does anybody know the history of this bridge? I can say this is not definitely a picnic spot as mentioned by many people. Water may not be clean as there are many settlements upstream. Local sand miners can be seen collecting sands with mules.
