Being one of the Shakti Peets ,it is a holy place . From the top of the temple Himalayan Range was clearly visible. However , the temple situated at an height of 2300 mts.(approx.) from Taxi stand. Scenic beauty of the can not be explained.

Parking is small but sufficient for 8-10 cars. Two or three restaurants are also available in parking area. Prashad you can buy from here as well from mandir premises also. You have to trek a full 1 km to reach mandir. The Elevation of parking is 2002 meters and mandir is on 2180 meters from sea level. The overall experience is very pleasant and holly palace.

The peak of the temple is a scenic point from which commands a beautiful view of the peaks named Surkanda, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The whole path is beautiful trekking of 1 km that is least crowed. The temple is very small and contains a Shri-yantra carved out on a flat stone instead of any idol. Traditionally, a cloth canopy is tied to the ceiling over this Shri-yantra once a year and the Brahmana priest doing it has to do it blind-folded. The people says that the torso of Sati fell here and her weapons got scattered all around the place. Thus, even today huge number of iron trishuls (tridents) and some old statues can be seen lying around the revered temple of Chandrabadani. The place is very peaceful and witness windy ambiance. Your presence means you, maa and nature only.

The temple is crowded during special celebrations such as navratre etc. I visited the temple on Diwali and it wasn't crowded at all.

There is parking space available. The lot isn't very huge but enough to park a few cars easily.

No ticket.

One just has to climb the mountain via a trail to reach the steps of the temple.
