One of the beautiful locations in Meghalaya to get the first sunlight of sun. The view point is around 50 kms from Shillong. The roads are under construction but 2/3 work is completed. Take your meals as there is no tea shops nearby. PS: 1. October to Feb time to see the clouds as in March the clouds can't be found. 2. If you are traveling from Shillong than you should move around 2am to reach the location by 4am. 3. It's worthy to sacrifice your sleep as it is complete bliss. The fresh air from the mountain makes your body and soul peaceful.

Early morning sight at 5:00 am. In case you wish to catch the glimpse of clouds, better start the journey early at 3:00 am onwards. Winter time is the best way to visit this majestic place. Bliss! ❤

Mesmerizing place with clouds below like a river, clear sky and early morning sun rise....but it takes 2 hrs from Shillong to reach there. Best season to visit is Oct to mar. Start early so that you reach before sunrise. Carry your own water and eatables. Main view point is only 30 steps down so elder people can also join.

Heaven on earth. Witness the beautiful sunrise over the river of clouds. Jacket, cap, gloves are highly recommended as it gets very cold and windy here.

Literally a place above the clouds. One should definitely experience the sunrise from Nongjrong. Takes around 2 hours from the city and one should definitely visit during august to November. December to feb, you won’t be able to experience the clouds as most of it will be fog.

Heaven on Earth Must visit but it's to cold so don't forget your jacket and most importantly gloves 🧤 it so freezing that you will not be able to take photos without your gloves on 😁 If you are going on Sunday do carry your breakfast because all the shops are closed on Sunday. Enjoy the beauty 😍

A breathing view of the cloud covered valley. We started the journey from Smith to Nongjrong at 3am and reach at 4.40am.
The roads as of the last week of December 2021 are in decent condition with certain areas under construction. Any vehicle should be fine to travel.
The road to the river down the valley however is a mud road and would not advise to travel unless you have good ground clearance

It's such a beautiful place, never thought such a place existed in our very own Meghalaya the Abode of clouds. If you ever want to see the clouds this is the perfect place to visit. N.b: we started from Shillong in the wee hours to catch the beautiful sunrise. So if you're a sunrise lover too you definitely wouldn't want to miss this.
