Good place for picnic,kids would enjoy being there..no regret

Negative here is only the road..need construction!! Overall its a good place to visit😌

It's nature and man-made beautifully combined to make a beautiful place. I really enjoyed. However i had an aloo-muri near the entry gate and i had food poisoning.

It's a cute park just outside Shillong. The path goes through a small stream. It's fun taking the car through the stream. If you're a kid at heart, you will love the swings there. If you like workout, there are small workout equipments for you.

The main thing which disappointed me was at the entry point, some random men who just collected the entry fee without providing a ticket. Anyhow the inside is absolutely stunning with small water bodies there is a jungle with beautiful pine trees. There are also picnic spots where cooking can be done but one has to go early otherwise the spots will be taken. There is also a restaurant inside. And a play area for kids. Also cars and two wheelers can be taken to the park but parking fees have to be paid and the way is not paved but a rocky path and you have to cross a small river.

This place is unique in the sense that it takes a bit of offroad driving to get there. To cross a stream is something awesome.
The place is quite...well maintained and places to take some really nice pics is readily available.
The outdoor restaurant overlooking the lake is a very pleasant and romantic place to be.

One of the popular tourist spot in Smit Village which is around 25 Km away from Shillong. It has a soothing ambience. You can also go for picnic there as there is place for cooking.

There is also a restaurant with good food.

Ticket price 50 for entry. Also you need to pay for parking also

There is also a little bit of offroading as you have to cross a small river. It's easy to cross with car bus etc.

During rainy season the water level will go up the you will have difficulty crossing with two wheeler.

While the park itself was wonderful and beautiful, yet...I believe that the caretakers fail to keep the haphazard dumping of plastic waste in check. We were admiring the beautiful and natural trails when we were met with a huge pile of plastic in the form of chips packets. It was truly unsightly. I would've rated it 5 stars if it weren't for that

A very beautiful place, surrounded by pine trees and amazing mountain valley. A very good picnic spot. Wooden lodge are available for staying .
