Reached here after a tiring day travelling to Shillong, and trust me when i say this, one look at the view and it felt like all my burdens had been lifted, i was just lost looking at the canyon. Greenery as far as the eyes could see. Wild flowers blooming on the slopes. Looking at cows grazing felt like I was in some kind of a dream. Was one of the happiest sunsets in a long time, and it got even better when it got dark and the moon came up, just magical. Even the drive here from Shillong city was quite scenic.

A wonderful place to visit with your friends or family, favourable and easy to access for all age groups. Entry is free but you have to pay for the vehicle parking; Rs 30 for the two wheeler, Rs 50 for the four wheeler and Rs 100 for the heavy vehicle.
Tourists are advised to carry an extra bag for carrying their own waste since it's a plastic free zone, though dustbins are available at the site.

It's my second visit to Laitlum canyons. A lot has changed there. The roads are far better and there are restaurants opened on the way. You can drop by for lunch or brunch. By evening those shops are closed. The views are breathtaking everytime I visit. The peak seasons are bit crowded but one can always find a corner to sit down and enjoy the view.

This view was BREATHTAKING!!! Breathtaking I say. The ticket price was probably 50rs/- and if you have to give 10rs to go to the bathroom separately. We reached there around the sunset time and behold the sky was so pretty alongwith the moon. The pink clouds made the sky look like cotton candy. The orange haze after the sunset was worth watching. Went during November and the air was pretty cold so wear thick clothing. Try the lemon tea they sell ; tea , hills and that view 😌. But it's possibly good to return after the sunset as this area is in somewhat outskirts. Would recommend going during sunsets instead of when the sun if high.

The Laitlum canyon is a beautiful range of ridges near Shillong. Once you park your vehicle in the parking lot, you are tempted to go to the nearest view point from there, and the views from there are good but the really beautiful views are actually at a walking distance of 5-7 minutes further ahead from there. You can easily spend as much time as you want just sitting on the grass and enjoying the beautiful views. There are many small vendors there selling corn and other items.

One of the best places to visit if you are in Shillong. Breathtaking views (provided you get a clear sky during the visit).
Its not just a view point to stand for couple of minutes and move on, can easily walk around and spend couple of hours here. Its spread across a vast area and you can easily explore around here.

Not much explored and crowded. Worth to add this picturesque destination into your Meghalaya trip itinerary. It’s an amazing destination, with lot of view points. There are some few shops where you can have food, also don’t miss the hot lemon tea which is being sold by localities at the view point.

The beautiful Laitlum Canyons are a sight to behold. The place is amazing and spectacular with one of the best views your eyes will witness. Even though it takes about an hour and half to reach the place, it is totally worth it. Reaching the place from the city is easy, one can book a cab as well. The clouds feel like they're right above you, while the glistening rays of the sun will soak you up. Totally a 5 on 5 for Laitlum.
