Kyllang Rock

The location is beautiful and easy to locate. But to reach the top you have to be physically fit as it is almost a herculean task to reach the top. There are steps but at some places you have to climb through the rocks. But once you reach the top, it is worth the effort. The view is superb, just that it should be a clear weather to fully enjoy the view. There are no shops nearby so do carry water and light snacks with you.

The elevation is high and one can get a good view of surroundings from here. It can be very pleasant of weather is cool. Not very difficult to climb either. It is manageable. Worth coming here as it is very silent and not crowded.

The view and the Fresh air from the top of this humongous rock was breathtaking.

Magnificent and Mighty. Beautiful and alone but never ceases to amaze. The vantage point is incredible you can spot miles and miles of lower areas full of pine trees, villages and farming fields. A must go to location especially for rock climbers.

Amazing experience.. it took us 30min basic trek to reach the top and experience an amazing 360 degree view. Highly recommended for the tourists searching for offbeat places in Meghalaya.
Note: communication problem, preferred to go by your own vehicle.

It's a beautiful lone standing rock face that gives an excellent view of the areas around.
We also trekked around the rock which was like a 4 km trek.
It's worth a visit. Pls wear woollens as it's very chilly and windy at the top..I visited in Feb 2021.
The drive from Shillong to the Rock is also very picturesque.
No washrooms around the place.
