This was one of the best destination I visited on my Shillong Trip. You need to trek and climb more than 7000 steps. But you need to start early if you want to feel the place and spend some time and then again trek ahead for rainbow falls. You would not regret if you have this in your checklist but you need to be fit at an average level.

Its a long trek with a lot of steps, the final view is worth the trek, the root bridge is well maintained. Very cool atmophere and good weather. better to go in the morning.. Will take around 4-5 hrs to complete the trek.

Morning is the good time to start the Trek. It took some 4 hrs to complete without visiting rainbow falls. No need for guide if the place is crowded. Trek with Full of steep steps downward and upward. Should travel with essential don't carry heavy luggage. Travel light

Amazing place. It took us slight less than 5 hours to go there and return even after enjoying a lot and taking bath in the crystal clear water of the river. Take 6 hours to visit here and enjoy the amazing views of natural beauty. Two hanging bridges are there on the way to double decker bridge which give the beautiful and satisfactory views. A must visit destination in Cherrapunji.

It was a thrilling experience.
Must visit at least once in a lifetime.
It is bit dificult but doable. My five year old did it and she loved it.
Very beautiful along the trail. Out of the world experience special if you visit in rainy season. It will be lush green and healthy flow of water in waterfalls.
Its more like a adventure which you can enjoy with family and friends.

One of the marvels of nature and leaves you spell bound when you see it in person. A root bridge takes about 100 years to get completed and it is beautiful to see how the locals are guiding nature to make these bridges happen.

There is a third bridge in the making as well and the bridge is strong enough to take the weight of humans.

There are tall steps to walk down so you need to have strong knees and good enough stamina to do this. Best to visit this place early in the morning to make full use of your time and do this trek at your pace.

It takes about 2 hours to do this trek depending on your pace, you can do this faster. But the sight around is so mesmerizing that you want to immerse in it. Loved the butterflies around, pleasant breeze and also dancing plants in the breeze.

Do carry water along although there are snack and water stalls at the start but as you go forward there’s only one small shop at the end of the trek. So best to stock up. Overall, a trek to remember and the root bridge are nature’s art of marvel.

A great trek it is nice to see beauty of nature. it is approximately 6km from the starting point and 7km from the parking till the bridge and back. though the distance is far it is easy to climb as there are steps. if you want you can go to rainbow falls in the same path it just 3 more kilometre from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge but the trek is a little harder compared to the first trek. It is straight path from the parking to single decker root bridge to Double Decker Living Root Bridge to rainbow falls. if you love trekking this is a must try.it is a 13-14 km trek from the parking till the falls and back

World's only double Decker Living Root Bridge. One of the most distinctive naturally formed structures. This was one of the best destination I visited on my Shillong Trip. You need to trek and climb more than 7000 steps. But you need to start early if you want to feel the place and spend some time and then again trek ahead for rainbow falls. There is no point of carrying any food while this trek and there are enough shops on the way.
Decide own pace and enjoy the nature.
