The Pankot fort of Kelva comes into view after reaching Danda creek bridge, today coincidentally it was low tide. So the temptation to go to the fort was not stopped. Immediately turned the bicycles back and left them on the shore and proceeded to the fort on foot. Standing guard over the water for centuries, this fort looks like a boat. Although the lower fortifications have been eroded by water, the fort stands strong against the wind and rain. The entrance to the fort is at a height of about ten feet. But we climbed up and entered the fort by stepping between the stone notches of the ramparts. There is a lot of grass and trees growing in the fort. At some point, I thought that I should come and clean this place with my friends. After observing and photographing for a while, we descended back. Came to the shore and rode back on the bicycle.

*केळवे पाणकोट किल्ला*
दांडा खाडी पुलाजवळ पोचल्यावर नजरेत येतो तो केळव्याचा पाणकोट किल्ला, आज योगायोगाने अगदी ओहोटी लागली होती. त्यामुळे किल्ल्यापर्यंत जाण्याचा मोह आवरला नाही. ताबडतोब सायकली परत वळविल्या व किनाऱ्यावर लावून पायी किल्ल्याकडे निघालो. कित्येक शतके पाण्यात खडा पहारा देत असलेला हा किल्ला अगदी बोटीच्या आकाराचा दिसतो. खालील तटबंदी पाण्याने झिजलेली असली तरी भक्कम पणे अंगावर पाऊस वारा घेत किल्ला उभा आहे. किल्ल्यामध्ये जाण्यासाठी असलेले द्वार जवळ जवळ दहा फूट उंचीवर आहे .पण तटबंदीच्या दगडांच्या खाचांमध्ये पाय रोवत आम्ही वरती चढलो व किल्ल्यात प्रवेश केला. किल्ल्यात अगदी भरपूर गवत व झाडे झुडपे वाढलेली आहेत. कधीतरी या ठिकाणी मित्रांसोबत येऊन स्वच्छता करावी असा विचार मनामध्ये आला. थोडावेळ वेळ निरीक्षण व फोटो ग्राफी करून आम्ही परत उतरलो. किनार्‍यावर येऊन परत सायकलीवर स्वार झालो .
