To trek this fort you can go through 2 ways
1. Waghambe - nearest route
2. Salher Wadi
It takes around 2 or 2 and half hour to reach to the top.
This fort ia bit difficult in monsoon as some parts of route becomes muddy and slippery. Not forget to bring sufficient water with you, there is no source of drinking water.
Salher is a place located near Waghamba village in Nasik district of Maharashtra, India. According to a legend, Lord Parshuram did his Tapascharya (asceticism) at Salher Fort. Salher stands adjacent to Salota Fort in Selbari Mountain Range in Baglan region, Nasik district of Maharashtra at the height of 5141 feet above sea level. Mulher-Mora and Hargad forts stand in the Dolbar Mountain Range. Salher is the highest fort in Sahyadri Mountains (1567 Mtr.) & second highest in Maharashtra, after Kalsubai. The route to Salota is fairly tough but manageable. The route is full of scenery & at some places huge boulders have blocked the entrance. Mulher & Mora are adjacent to each other.
Make sure you carry enough water with you and have a safe journey. Avoid plastic.

Then you come to the steps. This is the most beautiful and thrilling section. This is the patch that saps all the strength of a newbie. Luckily this patch also gets over in 20 minutes.
The entrance door is blocked by fallen boulders. After crossing those you come to the horizontal traverse, the easiest and most rewarding section. You are greeted with cool breeze blowing from gap between salher-salota. You get the views of the salher fort steps in full detail. You are almost near the top. After going around the fort along this traverse, the entrance is a easy 5 minute climb to the plateau on top.
