Kolavi Beach

Kolavi beach was superb few years before. now a days due to increasing of tourists day by day the place `lost its beauty’. And the road towards kolavi beach is too narrow and some of the native people behave so rude so when you visit in weekend there will be huge traffic block

Great place for a weekend getaway . Best time to visit would be before sunset.
Parking space and the road to destination is little tricky. Apart from that a great place.

Long beach roads will have blooming driving experience and near mini Goa famous for is mangroves and vegetation will blend kerala culture and the greenary of kerala, also try the vegetable pokk vada from the local road side shops.

The beach itself is relatively small, but it was surrounded by a lush mangrove forest that provided a sense of privacy and seclusion. The mangroves were home to a variety of wildlife, including crabs, birds, and small fish, which added to the sense of adventure and discovery.

The water was crystal clear and the sand was soft and white, making it the perfect spot for swimming and sunbathing. I spent the afternoon lounging on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

As the day drew to a close, I took a leisurely walk through the mangroves, admiring the beauty of the trees and the animals that called them home. It was a truly magical and unforgettable experience.

Kolavi beach is one of the clean and beautiful beach in Kozhikode.
Almost 5+ km away from National Highway.
We must take a deviation after payyoli town to reach there.
The road towards the beach is little narrow and is less crowded unlike the other beaches. Small parking ground is there and to reach at the spot we must walk for almost 1 km. The way to the beach is scenic with mangroves and the beautiful sea on either sides.
The water is clear and the beach is clean.
Definitely one of the best place to spend a morning/evening with your dear ones.
Best time to visit is early morning or evening where we can enjoy the beauty of the beach.
Please take care while playing in the sea. Few officials came and told us it's too dangerous because it's a meeting point of River and Sea. Tea and snacks are available in the shops nearby.

Nearby Places to Visit : Kunjali Marakkar Museum and Sargalaya art and craft village.

Kolavi beach is a beautiful place with a nice beach on one side and mangroves to the back. It is around 6 km away from the Kannur highway with a deviation right after payyoli bus stand. Approach road to the beach is small but scenic with a drive right by the beaches. The water is crystal clear. Expect to walk for a km to reach the beaches from the car parking spot. Police came by when we were playing in waves asking to get out. They said the beach is dangerous.

Scerenic and beauty.. Good and clean beach to spend time with family and friends. Good for photoshoots and wedding photography. Mangroove gives beauty addon to this beach.
