Gadhiya hill watch Tower

Kanker is famous for its tribal-dominated dense green forests, vast mountain ranges extending to the horizon, and highly specialized tribal culture. Kanker is surrounded by mountains, a mountain named Gadiya Pahar is very famous due to its historical shreds of evidence and legends. In the past, this place has been the stronghold of the kings of Som, Kandra, and Chandravanshi. The naturally impregnable fort got its name on this basis, the Gadiya mountain.

Initially, there were routes to reach this fort from the present-day Bhandaripara and village Garhpichwadi. After 1952 a new route was discovered to climb this mountain, this route goes up from the left side of Balaji temple at Rajapara. A watchtower is there on the top of the hills, tourists and visitors use to see the beautiful view of Kanker city from the tower.
