Chidambaram New Moorthy Cafe

Amazing briyani and parotta, enjoyed every bit of it. Chicken 88 and mutton Paya were also mouth watering, service team and the management team were so kind and courteous. Must visit place in Anna nagar.

Chicken labba - Tasted so good with side gravy they gave..
Chicken kari dosa - Tasted so blant would not recommend..
Ambience was quite good bt getting a table during peak hours is a task

Food is good but the service is bad. We two friends came to eat. They allotted a small table and there is not enough space to put the dishes also, apart from the plate. And the irony is they have enough empty tables to accommodate. When i explained this to the staff .. they simply said they will adjust the items in the same table. UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED 😔😔

The taste and quality of food is very good. All the staffs are well professional in their services.

As we had Office official lunch on Saturday, the order we have placed is more dishes, so they took more time than usual to serve us the food.

Recommended to go on weekdays to have hassle free and polite food experience.

The quantity of Biriyani is not feasible for the listed menu price, management kindly focus on this to improve.

I used to visit this restaurant frequently in Chidambaram during 2007-08. Now it brings me the nostalgic memories 😊. This is not as same as Chidambaram cafe as it’s been modified as per Chennai’s atmosphere. Most of the big restaurants not providing salna / kuruma for Parotta. We need to buy it separately. But thanks to Moorthy cafe for not charging it.

Not that good. Average taste. "Chicken 88 " was famous dish there.but same as kfc chicken but kfc was far better that this.i won't recommend...I preffer fish finger .it was good ..
Nool parota was not at all good .

We have a special place in our heart for the new moorthi cafe in chidambaram. That's why we went to Moorthi cafe in Chennai. Parotta are their signature dish. We ordered, Nool parotta - yummy, crispy had so many layers, salna given for this matches the parotta , Seeraga Samba mutton biryani - average only comparing other dishes, butter naan - typical one, chicken 88 with gravy - very crispy tasty, the gravy given for this tasted heavenly, recommend as must order. The available drinks and dessert are basic ones. Nothing special about the ambience.

Family restaurant. Pleasent ambiance. Good place to spend some time with family or our loved ones. I would not recommend briyani at this location but other foods on this shop are really awesome in both quality and quantity. I personally recommend to try "chicken 88" instead of tandoor and grill chicken. It's very tasty and crispy too. The gravy they provide for "Chicken 88" was really cool. Totally, worthy place to spend some time and money.
